It is an easy question and not a secret. I didn't answer simply because I didn't see it.
After activating you can work offline. The extension can ping periodically. Periodically would be once every ~4 weeks it phones home to see that your still good.
A phone home is simply a handshake with the server to say 'hello here's my license' and we answer back 'yep that's your license'.
On occasion there's a scenario whereby you phone home but your licensing system needs to be updated and you get a license error popup. This is where we need to improve the messaging.
But there's no constant checking or a 'must always be online' state.
Fredo might chime in with more precise numbers if he sees it.

Thanks for your answer, Rich. So is this something that has been changed recently, as TIG said? Or is it the same situation as is always was? The reason for this question is, that it had been mentioned before that it would be 4 weeks, but my own experience was that it worked only for 5 or 7 days.

It was originally ~14days but it was stretched to ~28days when further improvements to the licensing occurred with Sketchucation Tools 4.3+. I can't give precise dates of when it changed to be honest. I'm running different versions of both Sketchucation Tools and Libfredo to test upcoming features I simply forget what changes and when.
Also the licensing system, and Sketchucation Tools before 4.3, was incredibly hard to support. Our support inbox was a stream of license errors reports and deactivations etc...
So our intent is to constantly evolve the license system for the user and offer flexibility. Not trap them to devices or online states. We want user to manage every aspect themselves.
You can't completely escape an online check because that is the nature of licensing but we do aim to minimise the need. Its not perfect but we are slowly getting there.

Within 4 weeks, the licensing makes randomly 4 attempts to check the license online. If none of them can go through, then you need to revalidate online.

Thanks for the clarification. So it can be 4 weeks or anything before? Has it always been like this? Because i had to reactivate every 5 or 7 days the last time i tried it.

First, this is not related to Licensing. So better post in the JPP thread in this forum.
Errors in the generation of geometry are related to your model.
The best is to- Post or PM the model
- Post the content of the Pink dialog where you see the error (there is an export as txt button.

Your licensing version is outdated. Please updated Sketchucation Tools and Libfredo

I purchased the license however it says there is an error in validating License. How should I solve this problem?

Install the latest version of the SketchUcation Toolset.
It includes a much newer version of the Licensing system.
Also ensure you have the latest LibFredo6 and any extensions installed.
Restart SketchUp after the installation[s].
Then try validating a license... -
Hi.
My user name is jfussa19.
I got my full fredo 6 license, however I Have not been able to validate it on my sketchup. I got this screen and then in the explorer I don't find the SCF License. It happens with the whole plugins I got purchased.
Can you help me with this?Thanks

can you tell me if there is a way to reset your licenses
I no longer have access to two of my old PCs which are out of order, so I have 4 Fredo6 licenses where the 3 seats are used, I would like to reset everything and be able to reactivate the seats on other PCs
I saw the question asked by others but no answer?thank you for your reply

All cureent and future devices will need Sketchucation Tools 4.3.1 installed. This will allow you to manage seat releasing yourself going forward

great thank you, I had just installed version 4.3.1 and I'm not going to restart sketchup sorry, the main thing now it works, thank you again for the quick response

If the device was activated using Sketchucation Tools < 4.3 then you won't see checkboxes at https://sketchucation.com/webshop/my-licences.php
Go to the device and upgrade Sketchucation Tools
