Thanks L i am, but I want try and make a beach scene work first. But it looks like this scene is too ambitious and I may just have to settle for a sandbar in shallow water. It's killing even my new laptop.

That said, I'll be glad to send you the boat model! Let me know how and I'll send it. πŸ‘

Yeah, the island is not going to work. It absolutely overwhelms my PC. Or maybe it's because I use an old version of SU. Either way, same result.

Also, something has come up this week so I can't work in it for a few days. Nothing major, but important nonetheless.

I get the feeling that something along the lines of photomatch. A good quality backdrop and some layer methodolgy perhaps. What I know for sure is that there is a way and it will be found.

Good luck with the something mate, best to you and yours.

Agree with Mike on this one. Have the boat anchored a little offshore. Use a good β€œlooking” towards the beach as a background. Some post processing to get things matched up right. Just a thought πŸ‘

Thanks Mike! Thanks Tuna! Good suggestions. I've been fiddling with this when I have time and it's not quite gelling.

It's been a while since I had this much trouble setting up a render.

Take your time Bryan. These water, beach scenes are quite challenging for us mortals. πŸ˜‰ πŸ‘

Dead end on this scene. Still can't handle lots of vegetation.
