      https://macsecurity.net/view/107-remove-advanced-mac-cleaner-virus-from-mac-os-x
Suggests that Mac Cleaner Pro is itself 'Malware' !
These links [and others] suggests that once it's been installed [ill-advisedly], then unfortunately its removal is not that straightforward. 😲
However, I'd be wary of using any of their linked tools either !

Adobe's FFMPEG was certified by 10 reputable virus-tools as 'clean' - only a month ago !
Its installation will probably need Flashplayer, so that's not likely to be the issue.

Your Mac Clean tool could well be the culprit itself...
Did you get it from a reputable source ??

        Bob,

It's unfortunate what happened to you.

Apparently the link for Mac is no longer supported (my doc was dated 2016), but in any case, does not show any of the screenshot shown in my PDF doc. So I don't know how you end up downloading Flash Player (which is apparently also subject to hacking)

I have just updated LibFredo6, with an updated version v8.6k, which includes another link for Mac and new screen capture. Actually, the link is now the same as for Windows, but there is now a redirection to the Zeranoe web site for the Mac. I tested that it is not hacked.

          Hi Fredo

Yea, that kinda blew me up. I'm sure when you put that PDF together it worked as intended. Somewhere along the line, someone hacked the link somehow. And, I did have hesitation at the website advising the upgrade Flash - it looked a little suspect - but I went ahead anyway, so really dumb on my part.

I think I was able to uninstall the 2 or 3 pieces of malware that got installed.

So, I then did some searching around for FFMPEG for Mac. Learned that it was a command line app, of which I have precisely zero knowledge; deeper into the weeds than I care to delve. I found Handbrake and MPEG Streamclip, two apps that put a GUI front end on FFMPEG.

I installed these and got the host of export options for Animator, yet all it would export is frames, not video. I was able to generate a video by importing the frames into Screenflow, but wonder why Animator would not export actual video? Also, interestingly, "Save and Exit" in the Animator export dialog actually erases all of the individual frames.

So, I'm not sure quite what I'm doing wrong.

Anyway, as with all your plugins, incredible bit of programming.

Yea, I stayed away from those and found a list of files that get installed and need to be deleted. So, I think I got the mess cleaned up. We'll see

However, I'd be wary of using any of their linked tools either !

              Hello Rich

Safari on my Mac. I don't have any anti-virus installed - never thought it necessary on a Mac. Maybe I need to rethink that.

It was a link in the PDF file that got hijacked to the malware site. Sneaky bastards!

              Hi Bob,

What internet browser are you using? What anti-virus or malware protection do you run?

The 'How to get FFMEPG' button opens a locally stored PDF file that is part of the Animator extension.

I would install malwarebytes and run a scan.

I tried this but the download is an "exec" file, which I have no idea what to do with

                  Bob,

In fact, the end result is just to copy the ffmpeg.exe file to your local drive. As you said, this is a command line program, and I use it as such from Animator.

I don't have a Mac, so I cannot test it, but normally, if you follow the procedure and links of my new PDF instruction, you will download a ZIP file: ffmpeg-20181102-66425ad-macos64-static.zip.

From this zip file, you need to extract the ffmpeg file, which is in the subfolder /bin of the zip file, and put it on your local drive, ideally in the folder ~/Applications, so that i can be accessed regardless of the Sketchup version.

                  Fredo

                      @Fredo6

That worked perfectly, it now exports and saves the mp4 and mov files.

                      Thanks

                        Bob,

As you have a Mac, could you tell me if the MouseWheel over the timeline does a scrolling of the time?

Also, if you enough track, would Option + MouseWheel scroll the tracks?

Finally, would Command + MouseWheel (or Ctrl + MouseWheel) scale the timeline?

This is relation with a Mac user who has a problem with MouseWheel.

                        Many thanks

                        Fredo
