Retired and a New Job
-
Thank you, sir.
I get to go out and shovel snow on my first day. It'll give me time to work on the puns.

You'll now have enough time to hone your jokes/puns - as well as your chisels !
Best of luck.
Welcome to the team of golden-oldies...Now sure how golden it is (rather gray/white for me)
Dave, your should have time to build some really stable stuff now.
-
Congratulations. I imagine this is a smart move for you! You obviously have plenty going on to fill the time.
-
Thanks Gentlemen.
Yes, there's plenty to do.
-
Best of luck and I hope you get to make lots of sawdust

Today I was offered a new job. I'll be assisting a one-armed typist with capital letters. It's Shift work but I think I'll be able to handle it.
Oh my, I spit my drink literally. I was not expecting that.
Best of luck to you Dave!
-
Thank you all. I appreciate it.

Eric, I bet you're jealous.

Indeed.

It's all nice as long as you do not retire from this community. I hope we'll keep seeing you around!

me too !!!
Thanks for all your work here and I wish you all the best, Dave !!
We would miss you very much, so please keep visiting us -
Good luck man!
I hope SketchUp contracts you to assist with queries, as you seem to be able to help in most (read just about all) queries. And I'm not trying to blow some smoke...
-
Hi all. Thanks for the good words. Never fear. I'm not retiring from SketchUp or Sketchucation. I only retired from my day job. I won't be wearing surgical scrubs or working on life support equipment anymore. Now I can't officially tell you why you're hitting your airway pressure limit before you deliver the tidal volume you have set or why the pleth waveform regularly goes flat line every three minutes. (Unofficially I could tell you if you want to know. )
Anyway, I'll still be around here.
And for those who are jealous of my new job, perhaps we could set up a job sharing thing. There are two Shifts, you know.

Wow! Now start building a boat and sail over here for a holiday!
-
That's an interesting thought. I would like to build another boat but I wasn't thinking of one large enough to make the crossing.
-
When you build it large enough, there are several places ypu should stop in europe. Lisbon is mandatory!

Knowing you Dave, it's busier you will become
On the boat idea! I was intrigued with this CNC (Maslow) boat.
Building a Bolger Bobcat (Payson Tiny Cat) catboat from CAD on up
Got my Maslow in about a month ago and set 'er up, went through calibration(s), and started in on a few small βstarterβ projects. Quickly, however, I decided to start in on a Bolger Bobcat sailboat: [IMG_20171213_112448β¦
