Plug in for positioning random Textures????

It is possible - but you have a more specific description? Just offsetting? Rotating? By how much?
Hi Thomthom,
Just offsetting will do. I just want to offset the texture so that it doesnt look so repetetive.

Have you already tried this plugin?

I made a little plugin for randomizing texture positions,
It modifies all selected faces, including faces nested in groups
(it only works in Sketchup 7 and 8, i have still to tweek it for older versions)Awesome, Thanks so much (Though I don't think selecting groups works...)
This definetly increases realism 100% -

Hi
Is there such a plug in for this scenario:
Ive modelled some decking (multiple pieces of timber) and I have textured them all with the same texture. Problem is, the texture looks the same on all of them. Is there such a plug in that can randomly move the texture around instead of me doing it manually?? Ie right click, texture -> position and then move the texture in a different position on various items.
Hope im making sense.
Thanks
randomize texture position for all faces in the selection, including faces nested in groups

Thanks for the Plugin.
I wonder if it could be tweaked a little more, with options
a - randomize position
a1 - vertical (max and min amount)
a2 - horizontal (max and min amount)b - randomize scale
b1 - vertical (max and min amount)
b2 - horizontal (max and min amount)c - randomize rotation (max and min amount)
You would check the boxes to what you want, so for example, you can randomize only vertical positioning, by 50 to 100 units, and also the rotation, by 10 to 90 degrees. Or any other combination you wanted.

Massimo, could you please tell what plugin did you recommend? Looks like it's no longer available from RubyLibrary Depot. Maybe I could pick it from somewhere else.

This is a very old thread.
But I wrote a similar [newer] tool here.

Nice, thanks
