Smooth not working

Hi all, I just installed SubD 2.1.1 in 2017. As the image shows I can get it to subdivide but not smooth. Can somebody please suggest what I am doing wrong?Cheers

OK I just tried a cube and it worked, but it wont work with this shape.
It does everything just not that particular model/group. So its just academic now.SubD is the best fun I have had in sketchup in just about forever

Did you change the crease value for the edges e.g.?

You may check if the "mesh smoothing" in sub-d entity info is toggled off.
In that case, you get your subdivisions, but no smoothing happening, see the example below.
