"Atmospheric" render without post processing
-
Hi all, I have about 2 hours total with photoshop experience. I therefore decided to try an experiment using just sketchup and a render engine only to produce an "atmospheric"image, I am sure it could be much improved by post processing but was happy with the results of the experiment. No Skatter or other plugin apart from a render engine was used. Please feel free to comment.

I think the fact you've only 2hrs with PS is impressive considering how well you added grass to the image.
The lamps need some rework and the kid under the lamp does blend correctly.
But kudos on the final output. Maybe a texture change here and there and you have great concept piece.
A bit more darkness and you really push it further.

It's moody. I like moody. Very nice work

I think you've nailed it. Looks great.

I agree with the above, nicely done.

Thanks guys really appreciate the comments.

Thanks Rich, but I only have had a total of 2 hrs in Photoshop in my life. Because of thisI did not use any photoshop on this at all native SU and render app with no post processing at all.

... same for me - a great result - especially with the described effort.
My only proposal here: Because the mood reminds me of a wet, misty and cold November day, I would use people cutouts with warmer/thicker clothes, which fit better to this (guessed!) season... -

Truth is they were the closest people I had. I will try to get some more, more appropriate people and try again.
