I still have problems constructing good quality proxies.

I have to construct this sofa but I am struggling with the right shape of the proxy.

can anybody help me to find the right shape?

I forget to save modeling process step by step. Started modeling from the sides. Used two plugins: Vertex tools and Extrude edges by rails

Stick to very primitive forms then refine...

                  screen-grab_041.jpg

                  keep refining as you go...

                  screen-grab_043.jpg

i would have shared the file but i got this from SU...

Easiest thing to learn is proxy modelling. You're a natural at it too.

I think that looks like a fine result, I have problems with proxies too so appreciate how difficult it can be to get your mind around the method.

What is the difference between a Proxy and a simple 3D object?
                              State before subdivision ?
