        Rich,
I am experiencing exact problem you described.
Will you please explain exactly what you did to locate, remove, and replace the corrupt dc file?

        Thanks.

          Paul,
either remove it from the Plugins folder or go to the Extension Warehouse >> click on your user Name >> My Extensions >> Dynamic Components >> Uninstall...

          Then Install it again...

the freshest versions are stored there...

          john

I did the above, and I am still getting the error message.(no entity data returned)
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling dynamic component and when that did not work I tried physically removing the dynamic components folder and rb file from the plug in folder located in this location

              C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\SketchUp\Plugins

Is there another location I should be looking in to remove the files?

Did you remove the su_* .rb file and the matching su_* subfolder from the ../Plugins folder ?
When SketchUp restarts new copies should be copied from the ../ShippedExtensions subfolder.

If that fails... then try deleting the su* files / subfolder in ../Plugins - then reinstalling SketchUp from its installer [ remember to 'run as administrator' in the right-click context-menu ]

If you have the properly installed latest su_* files then it should work !

when you go to the Extension Warehouse and log in, hover on your User Name then click 'My Extensions'...

Dynamic Components will either be listed as UpDate Available, Disabled or Enabled...

if it not in the list something is wrong and you need to instal it from there...

**It is on the list as installed, after I uninstalled and reinstalled.

Going to try Tig's suggestion now.**

did you try a different DC?

any from the Components Browser will confirm if it's the Extension or the DC that's failing...

                          john

I have tried it on many DCs. Known good components that I have no issues with on my other installation.

Tig, I have tried as you suggested and removed the folder and rb file from the plug in folder and then re installed the dynamic component plugin from the my extensions.

I must be doing something wrong. Is there more than one location for the plug ins folder to reside...am i maybe not working in the correct location on my computer?

this is where I am locating the plugins folder.
                          C:\Users\Paul\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\SketchUp\Plugins

This is where I am seeing the shippedextensions folder
                          C:\Program Files\SketchUp\SketchUp 2016\ShippedExtensions

I even tried copying the contents of the dynamic components folder and the rb file from the shipped extensions folder on my computer in which everything is working normal and replaced the like files on the lap top where it is not working.

                          What am I doing wrong?

Sorry I am an idiot...not as sorry as my wife, but that is another story.

I have now completely uninstalled sketchup 2016 and re installed it with the latest download available and I still get the "no data" message followed by the "callback" message.

I am stuck. Good thing I have two machines and one is working, or I wouldn't be...working that is.

                            Fixed!
Just uninstalling and reinstalling sketchup did not work, but uninstalling through windows 10 programs and features followed by manually deleting every folder related to sketchup i could find did work.

Now my laptop installation works again so I am free to fly about the country.

                            Thanks.
