What's really cool about it is the way it interacts with sketchup geometry.

How can we control face normals on the output? Making it static?

Thanks! We'll soon release a Mac version. At the beginning we want to keep it Windows-only to speed up iteration times

        Awesome β€” that's great news!

WOW! Very cool! Finally... parametric modeling in SU.

Concerning the feature requests... i would say simply add everything of RailClone's features and functionality πŸ˜‰

This is fantastic...it works well....we need for sure more tools....
I think that the key point is that is possible to change continuously the same geometry without generating a "bake" geometry in sketchup....dynamo and GH work in this way and it is a mess if you want to connect drawings to geometries created with a visual programming tools.
For sure icons are important to speed up the process and to make it more user friendly....ref to grasshopper and dynamo.... last suggestions, do you think it will be possible to translate all the skp main tools for design in nodes? Is it possible to link spreadsheets with coordinates or other data coming from FEM models software? Is it possible to create a link with grasshopper and dynamo?

I thought this was the initial objective, but maybe that was just wishful thinking. If this would be possible, it would greatly help on enhancing the transition from SU to Viz

This is the way to go for SU.. Not "3d for everyone" alright, but many are craving for this tool set.

                      Thanks!

Sure was a long wait for this kind of tool to be connected to SketchUp...
I was drooling on Grasshopper and Rhino as I get lots of architects models in obj recently...

wishing that something like this could be made for textures, working directly from Sketchup.

This is huge! Now you just need to collaborate with all the extension makers and incorporate their features into VIZ πŸ˜„
This plugin can be a game-changer!

Actually i think that parametric modelling can be "3d for everyone". Once you get the main concept it becomes really easy and intuitive. The graphic interface can be really helpful and handy and you can do alot of things much faster than with traditional 3D modelling. This tool could generate parametric massing, patterns and repetitive structures. Then using the classic modelling maybe for going into some details or special features. Then you have Skalp to generate and export construction documentation. It can be a great workflow.
Even more than this, VIZ can be an open door into ruby visual programming just like Grasshopper is for Rhino scripting. Not only for geometry and modelling but also for other BIM features and data management which could make Sketchup really intelligent! Oh maybe i am just dreaming... I wonder is it possible? Now there is even a Grasshopper for 3DS Max and another one for MODO.
What are the limits of SU?

Tomorrow we should be able to release a new version of Viz. There's been a lot of code rewriting going on, to add the possibility of creating custom nodes for reuse and sharing.

As a preview, here is a video showing how to create a custom node:

                                            This looks killer.

                                            Smaller fonts would be nice.
