[quote="Rich O Brien"]Built with PlusSpec to test out how to best light internals...[quote]
Some interesting results....
- I liked being able to go inside the model and do some looking around
- Once inside the model, the lighting looked good. It will be interesting to see where you can take this feature1. Had some very inconsistent results when clicking on the scenes - did not always get the same results
- At times there was a lot of clipping
- At times the model would not orbit correctly (I assume that was because of the axis in different scenes
- Got confused as to how many scenes there really were because at times it would just flip between 2 scenes
-
There are only 2 scenes.
Working on the camera issues this week

I kind of thought there might only be 2 scenes but at times it appeared there were more. Will be watching to see how that goes.
Hope you do not mind me throwing in my 2 cents......

For me the scenes didn't work.
-
This is very kool... What's the file size limit?

thanks
these things are looking awesome btw.. great work fellas

so when I first click on any of these panels the model is black. Once I click and try to rotate the black goes away and I can see all the right colors.
I'm on WIN7 Ultimate 64 and using FireFox 34.0

Currently, any uploaded SKPs containing 'leader-text' [but not 'screen-text'] should have this text repeated in the viewer-window, although font, color, size etc will not necessarily be replicated exactly as in the original SKP... -

That'd be a kinda of silly thing to do. Hijack someone's webcam. What were you thinking?

Could you do a browser cache erase/reload (Ctrl + F5) and try it now?

i was joking
(like- i don't think you could do it even if you tried really hard.. not on osx at least)

Did you click the image Jeff!
yeah.. it's funny.. i gave it a thumbsup
and security issues aside, it would actually be sweet to have a user's current environment/lighting/etc be applied to a 3D model on screen..
i imagine we'll probably have stuff like that one day though maybe not til the flat panel display phase is over. -

is that a challenge?
what could happen is that you use your own phone to make a cube map. upload it and then use it.

haha.. no
i have approximately zero need to see my mug plastered on one of my models.
-
Well when this goes public people will be able to pick your mug as a reflection...
-
great.. let me get a haircut first.
-
Rich, again, this is very impressive work. Kudos. This is a regular stop for me now. I can't wait to see how this develops.
