Joint Push Pull problems in 2015
-
Is there any way to use the old version (I'm talking SU8 version) of Fredo's Joint Push Pull in 2015?
Speaking for myself I find the new version virtually unusable. Almost every time I try to use it it gives me a long list of errors (none of which I understand). It's reached the point that if I do need to use it, I save the model as SU8, close the model, reopen it in 8, do what I have to do with Joint Push Pull, then resave it, reopen it in 2015, and carry on.
And before anyone attempts to extol the virtues of the new and improved version, please just understand that I do not need those improvements (nor do I need high blood pressure from trying to get anything accomplished with it). I was perfectly happy with the old version, it did what I needed it to do.
And also please understand that I love Fredo's plugins. I use them everyday, and I truly appreciate the amount of work he has put into making our SU experience even better. I'm not knocking him in any way.
So, is there a way to get the old version to work in 2015?
Thanks,Steve

Ah, now that's the Joint Push Pull I know and love!
Thanks so much, Cotty

@hellnback
The new JPP suffers from a problem of generation when there are too much overlaps (the reason is that the method used is also much faster than in the old JPP). It's on my list to have a safe generation mode to default to in case of problem).
Anyway, I am interested in your models that would show errors so that I can investigate what it is and how they can be fixed.

Hi I can't install the JPP in my 2015 Sketch Up. Can someone help me?
I downloaded the JointPushPull_v3.3a file and put it in the ifcplugin folder. What was wrong?
Thanks.

Follow the installation instructions in the first post of the plugins topic...

Thanks. I installed it, but now when I open Sketch up, a message appear tells me that I have to install: LibFredo6 version 6.3. How do I do that?
Thank you.

You were not able to find that link in the first post?

Much prefer the older version, the new interactive version just fights against me all the time!
