Feel free to kick hard....

First impression: pro site, easy on the eye. BUT... I would definitely choose another photo for yourself. This one doesn't say 'pro' or 'fresh ideas' or 'someone you immediately trust your next big important visual assignment to'.
-
^ heh.. 'graphic designers' are supposed to have a bit of grunge look.. like, i wouldn't trust a designer in a suit&tie
-
Very kool... I have to get myself one of these kool sites. I'm so 2000...
Pros
I like the simple layout and useability.
Color scheme is bright but not obnoxious...
Direct and to the point.Crits
I'd like to see a different photo of you. Sans Hoodie.
I'd like the about section to come before tools and portfolio sections.
I'd like to see the example renderings and work expanded to show more of each of those projects.
I'd like to see something about your plugins.
Something about your writing and reviews. -
I hope the portfolio is far away from being completed.
The site looks sharp and at the point. I would love the ability to move to the next portfolio image without closing the actual one.(with left and right arrows near the images ?)
I would not use a personal picture on a business site. People are odd, they judge right away and you might have some good customers out of them. -
It will have a dedicated portfolio area with more images per project.
It also will have a dedicated clients area that requires login to get assets and invoices.

Not enough padlocks.

Or hats

Cool indeed. Don't know why but it reminds me the graphic of some of Billy Bragg old albums.
Oh, and he guy in the circle definitely needs to be seen on the XT500 I offered to him. -
Bring it over for a test drive. You're always welcome at my house.
There's a scrambling track nearby where we can injure ourselves
Bring some Barolo
-
I must say I'm not a fan of the druid selfie. It's a nice pic but I don't think it highlights your product well, certainly not centre stage. The work should be what catches your eye first.

first impression, nice and clean site. +1 on lose the hoodie

Great job! Like the red and the star logo. Good luck with this Rich.
If I changed anything... The first page banner is large. On my large screen the links below are partially on screen. On my 15" the intro (red) banner does not fit. Would be nice to have a composed first screen for average size screens. Actually I like the mechanics. Maybe a large down arrow (click to flip down to next section) floating in the lower right might make it easier to understand.
Also I prefer gallery views that aren't browser windows. (This one has two different style close buttons--and I still tend to close the browser window, which loses the site).
Keep it up!

You need a like or share button for Facebook. You know you want to.
-
The menu scrolls to each section. Give it a shot. Not sure if it works on Mac?
On mobile devices the site scales down to have a ' back to top' arrow.
I appreciate all the feedback. I really do.
All being noted down and most will change

I ain't on Facebook. That ain't gonna change anytime soon.
-
A clean site and decently operable too, the content you mentioned but not too much clutter and you should be fine, mho of curse. With you on the facebook twitter thing. Yeuch.
-
yeah I was just winding him up as Rich seems to be anti facebook!
-
Works fine on all counts on my mac. Have you tested it on a phone?
-
Yes, iPhone only.
