Scifi Sketchup Modeling

Looking epic, tons of detail, hope to get a shot at rendering it one day.
One question, are those jet engines not going to melt the tires on take off?

You can render it if you like once I have cleaned up the mesh, as I am only building it with the intention to paint it in photoshop the only renders I need are a stock clay render and another render to capture the reflection map (assign the whole model to stock aluminium in Thea and run for 15 mins through Presto then run both layers as masks in Photoshop. Therefore not bothering to worry about intersections and the like, I am not even working in layers!!! But the plan will be to eventually clean the model as I want to try to animate a landing sequence.
Yes I suspect not only would the tires melt but anybody sitting in the passenger compartment with the door open would be instantly vaporized.
there are four lifting engines underneath if you can notice them, the idea would be that the main engines would throttle right down and only be used for stability when landing/hovering.

Really love the style of the stealth image

Nice.
Is the wire work offset right slightly for any particular reason?

Yes my export from SU and THEA appear to be off by a few pixels!! Arghh annoying, I was so tired when I posted it I never noticed. Day 8 of no smoking taking its mental toll.

Good luck with that Liam a tough nut to crack. May the force be with you.

Wow have not been on here for so long, work has been so busy. Anyway some recent work....
The first one is cheating a but because a lot of the base mesh was not made in SU just the detail work, both rendered in THEA.
The third is for an image I did for my wall. Its a large 100*100cm print on canvas.

I remember seeing the space tug but thought I had commented on it already. Oops, I guess not.
Very cool!

Love it! You've just designed an Antarctic continental drill rig.

Kit bash from some CAD ship model on the warehouse with a scifi lower half I built based on the Nasa crawler. Practicing illustration techniques!
This illustration style can now be automated from photoshop via a desktop droplet from raw sketchup output.

Thanks, its just basically a kit bash of three models I have built before with a few days of extra model time, then a whole load of photoshop.
