Noticed it with the Mirror plugin... windowed a bunch of stuff, and that locked item mirrored too.
Thought it was maybe due to the plugin, but tried it with Move, and there we go. -

.locked?
flag before transforming or modifying anything. I say flag - since that's all it is - nothing is being enforced on SketchUp's side. -

Something wrong in the back end with the Move command.I'll have to try various plugins. I know the version that I'm running of TIGs 'Mirror' does this.

Copy works properly. Rotate as well.
Just move that is a glitch. Also shown here with TIGs 'Mirror' (just updated to his recent, to be sure).

Trimblers:
I should note that this is a big glitch.
I often move items away and back, when working on them. To have a locked component be able to be moved or modified in any way could really screw up the accuracy of ones model.

I reported it as a serious problem.
I can fix my Mirror tool's similar issue relatively easily... watch for an update...

My Mirror tool is now fixed - thanks for spotting it...

Mike, until it gets fixed, and since Move+Copy doesn't seem to have this problem, perhaps you could try my work flow for working on components? When I need to work on a component that is obscured by others I always move out a copy and edit that. when I'm finished I simply get out of edit mode and then delete it. This saves me the trouble of putting the component back where it came from.

I do that often as well. I am more concerned about accidentally shifting something that should be locked when I do move / copy / etc.

This appears to have been corrected in the latest release.

Never mind. Not working properly now... weird.
Will test some more.
