Chris, thank you for this very usefull script !!! Works as far as I can tell (only tried some simple forms) like a charme. Only, one question would it be difficult to implement a choice between inches and cm for the bevel width ?

I've found a bug: i tried just beveling a face (should have read the instructions...) and it gives me a dialog saying 'wrong arguement type false (expected array)', the problem is it is impossible to get this dialog to go away, you have to shut SU down form the task manager before you can use SU again.

Thats too bad. Do you have any idea how to reproduce it? When I try it with a single face it doesn't do that.

heres a quick mock up of the thing that made it crash. I was trying to bevel the top surface, but without hidden geometry turned on.

Hi Chris
Thanks for this very usefull tool. I one question though, would it be possible to use it in Decimal/millimeters ? It seems to use inches, even if my drawing is set to use millimeters
Thanks

I just returned from a few days off at sea. Coming home is a delight , finding this new plugin.
Thank you very much Chris. I'll be trying the script when working on a model for work tomorrow.
Kudos for these nice contributions to the SU community. Appreciated!Regards,

I find a way to reproduce this bug:
- Select something, right click and choose "Bevel".
- In the bevel selection dialog choose cancel.
- Then select the same or other geometry, right click and choose "Bevel" again.

i tried this tool several times but it seems there is something wrong whit me ( or a bug ) that it doesn't works!!!!
-
majid, are you doing the following:
1)create shape (cone, box, cylinder etc,)
2)select the entire shape
3)right click and select bevel -
Dear Majid,
Remember, the input is in inches. Try using a fraction like 0.01 inches.
Regards,

Remus is right, you need to select the whole mesh.
There are really several different types of beveling. Mesh, face and edge. This plug-in just does mesh at the moment.
-
ok here is some tests over one shape... strange results!!! i guess it's bkz of rubies interfere
-
Looks like you are not selecting the whole mesh and/or using too large values for the amount of inset.
I have beveled cylinders and it works ok if you keep the values small.
-
Thanks for your time and efforts on this it looks great
Kind regards
Darren
