I almost catch up Mike then he pulls ahead again...
The 'local' pub just along the road from here is having a three day 'Oktoberfest'
- with literally dozens of 'real' ales and German brews you'd not normally find in the UK...
Served in 1 litre steins, pints, half-pints or 'testers'...
If I sample even just a half of them I will fall over!
But I might walk down there after lunch and force down one or two...
or perhaps even 'before' lunch - as I now recall that they were going to be serving German food!
I feel a hangover and indigestion coming on... and I haven't even started yet...
PS: I apologize in advance for any of my posts later today that might be more gibberish than usual...

It's at the 'Brandling Villa' in 'South Gosforth' just down the hill from the Metro station - you might know it from your time in the NE - although in the last year or so it has changed hands and it's gone more into good beers, food and becoming a live music-venue...
