What industry do you use SketchUp for?

It looks like I can't update a live Poll. So hopefully "Other" will cover what I missed.
Looks like someone updated it for you.
-
If I recall my stats class, the poll would be much more accurate if you had limited the choice to one primary use.
-
sigh!, I thought my response would be aknowledged as intended,a poke at Google.
-
Oh I heard it. Consider this a second poke...
-
I am not too worried about making this super accurate. I think this will provide a nice general idea of what people use SketchUp for. I would be interested to know how many use SketchUp in Construction vs Architecture/Design.
-
Keep in mind you are only polling the members of this forum, which are just a small fraction of the entire Sketchup user base...and only a tiny fraction of the members have voted so far.

Now imagine a Beta tester said something like that, I would find that a bit concerning about the next release.........

Marketing and Promotion. 3D models within GE are tied directly into "Local Business Listings" at "Google Places." and "Google Maps." used correctly,it's a powerful marketing promotional tool.
I fully expect a referral percentage from everyone that now goes and does this for their clients.

Selectively of course!

I presume feature film work would come under 'digital entertainment'. I'd never really thought of the film industry under that banner before, but I guess it's quite a fitting description.

landscaping should perhaps have been a category

Professionally speaking, I use it for archaeological reconstructions. When it comes to reconstructing a building, it is closer to architecture but when it comes to smaller objects, it would rather be similar to industrial design.
Both is lacking the "design" element however.
Ah yes, and how about tutorial creation?

Yes, this would have been my vote too. Landscape Architecture usage here.

The original post was to consider industries, but how about polling cross industry uses? Design, reconstruction, modeling, entertainment, or production to begin with. Given the most popular use of SU promoted by Google, reconstruction would probably be its predominant use. Lucky for us minority users.
