SU gone wild!!!
-
SketchUp 7 (7.1.5803) Mac osx 10.6.2 build 10c540 macbook pro 17"
I believe it's an issue with Vray- i am a beta tester.
I didn't notice this until i upgraded to 7.1:
When in SU, pressing the spacebar brings up the model info dialog box as activated by the icon in the lower left hand corner of the su screen.
Additionally, and much more sinister, SU responds to keystrokes when i am in other programs. If i press the spacebar in another program, it activates the model info dialog in SU. Likewise if i quite a program, SU wants to quit also. The keystroke issue goes away when i removed Vray for SU mac.
The spacebar issue remains regardless. This is a SketchUp issue that needs to be addressed please! -

Try to uninstall the VfSU beta and see if the problem is still there. If it is, submit a bug ticket to ASGVis. -
i did uninstall it and i have submitted a bug ticket to ASGVis; i thought i had the latest version... vfsu 1.48.50 is that right?
-
.52 is. They kick out released pretty fast. I some times don't get time to install a release before there's a new one.
-
ah ha. thanks. they haven't sent me the link for that one yet. guess i'll wait around to hear back from them
thanks, thomthomupdate:
i just got .52 and will try it out asap -
Did you figure this problem out? I have the same issue and its driving me nuts.

Apparently it is fixed by disabling the Mac Universal Access features under the systems panel. Go figure.
-
I'm having exactly this problem.
Unfortunately, since I've only got one arm, Universal Access is rather important to me.

I would try turning on what you need and turning off what you might not need and see if it works. In either case- this is something that needs to be addressed before ASVG should accept money for their product that is directed at Mac users.

I only have Sticky Keys enabled. But turning off 'Enable Access for Assistive Devices' seems to do the trick. I think. Trouble is, that messes up my window switcher, 'witch' relies on that function to work.
What's ASVG, BTW? I'm on the beta team, so have sent a bug report about this, too.

VfSU Beta issues should be kept in the ASGVis beta forum.

Thanks! I dont have any plug ins for sketchup but found this on a google search. It worked for me!

Here's the reply I received from Google QA ---
Doesn't seem to do anything, though...

Yea, I've complained about this and filed the bug, too. I have two arms and it bugs me, so I'm sure it's worse for you. I always have System Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse->Keyboard Shortcuts tab's "All Controls" set on. You can toggle on and off with Control-F7.
Here's the workaround that I use: rather than (Solution 1) temporarily toggle Ctrl-F7, it's easier for me to (Solution 2) hit tab four times as the first thing I do when I open a SketchUp file, which will place the little blue halo onto the select tool and off the Model Info button on the bottom left of the window.

Good ideas for workarounds- thanks!

Troy --- if you can tell me what those workarounds are supposed to do and how they work, I'd be extremely grateful...
