to be able to export it to render engies correctly (at least with indigo) you need to triangulate all faces. if you have the subdivide & smooth plugin, simply subdivide it and every face will be triangulated...

Doesn't skindigo automatically triangulates the faces/facets?
SU2KT does (and preserves UV maps). -
I don't think so, because when the UV Tool plugin came out, triangulating faces was the only way to make it work in indigo.

Another way to sort the textures out natively is to turn on hidden geometry (view->hidden geometry) then sample the texture on the main face and paint it on to every other face. Probably a lot easier to use the UV plugin for anything with lots of faces though, as painting every face can get a bit boring.
