Proper_animation.rb ,some questions
-
Hello there,
I'm using a MAC and downloaded proper-animation.rb but everytime I right klick the component and try to "get position" in order to record it for the animation sketch-up crashes.
Is there anything I can do about that?
Could anyone help?Thanks Roberta

Hi Roberta,
You 're not the first to encounter such a problem on MAC. It's due to MAC way of
managing ruby plugins. Our friend Morisdov is already warned about this. Just have a look in the same folder. N Lindenthal has the same strange behaviour.http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=10946

Robert i emailed you PM with the older version of the plugin.
See if it does not crush on a MAC. -

My Mac has proper animation with proper_animation, if I drag the folder »extensionmanager« out of Tools folder. Then the right mouse click menue on marked objets has the item »Transformation«.
Now the question would be, whether this same folder »extentionmanager« also disturbs the context menue of SketchUp on Windows PC.I can not find a comparable folder on my Windows machine.
My Plugin itself is properly wrapped in a module and is not using any global variables, so there should be no collision with other plugins.
Can you zip and email me the contents of that folder ?
See if its removal has no other negative consequenses. -
Hi Malaise,
I have rendered your robot. It is a VERY quick an dirty test.
Will need more time to fix few things in guip.s. I couldn't attach avi directly

Tomasz and morisdov,
Looks great! Finally we will be able to render simple Sketchup animations with moving objects in Kerkythea. At least I assume that Tomasz's animation was rendered in Kerkythea. -
Mac OS X 10.4.10, SketchUp 6 (6.4.120)

Hi Animation's Fellows !
I'm still using proper_animation, and drawing quite more complex models used for
technical and education purpose. It's one of the easiest way to give explanation
about repeating séquences done by machinesOnly one question : Has someone made what I name a "knee" ?
A component is rotating along its axe , a second one
may turn around an reference attached to the first component.
( think to a leg with its knee )
I can't reach a stable axe for the 2nd group.Thank for any remarks.

My idea would be to make two groups, two axes, and then make one component.

how did you do this?

I guess he is playing with a beta version of su2kt

I have modified the SU2KT script. I am distracted by many things at the moment and it is hard for me to focus on programming, but the 'technology' is there. Getting it into your hands is just a matter of time.

@Thomasz, I can't get that animation you posted to play.
I unzipped the .zip file and tried opening the .avi both in windows media player as in VLC player. No success. -
works fine for me with the free Mediaplayer Classic
The krosoft Player is null -
