just though id do this ot give people who havent used the script before an idea of how much difference changing the nmber of iterations makes (and for fun as well ๐Ÿ˜„ )

    http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3233/2452573718_6d37b71f3d.jpg?v=0

It starts of with 0 iterations (not running the script) on the far left to 4 iterations on the right.

As for the time to complete each operation:
    1st iteration- instantaneous
    2 iterations- 5 secs
    3 iterations- 2 mins
4 iterations- 10-15 mins (i got bored and lost count of the exact time)

As for polys, i didnt keep an exact count, but the 1st, 2nd and 3rd iterations totaled 24, 000 and the after the 4th iteration they totalled 96,000 faces.

Conclusions: 1 iteration is good for roughing out a model, 2 is a good general standard and 3 means quality. Dont bother with 4.

It is quite difficult to see the differences in the iterations due to the glass texture in the rendering, which is nice by the way.

Can you post a wireframe shot from SU without a render?

Extravagant ๐Ÿ˜† No, but that is still not what I want to see. ๐Ÿ˜•
What I meant was hidden geometry.

that could have gone one of two ways.

                          10-15 mins? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฒ
wow...1 guess 3 is the best for something hi-poly yet moderately speedy...
By the way what rendering system did you use? it looks good. ๐Ÿ˜„

I used indigo for the renders, combined with it's lovely exporter skindigo.

It's just a red tinted glass material, i think i turned up the opacity to aobut 15% in SU to get it a deeper red, dont think i changed anything else, although it was a while ago so i cant really remeber.
