Thank you, Peter. The output size (and the viewing size) does indeed affect the appearance of the lines. The larger the output size, the thinner and in this case harder the lines appear. [image: OPLF_export.png] Here's an example. I used the same line style, the Straight 2B Pencil from above, and made a series of exports at different sizes. The smallest was 800 pixels wide which shows on the left. I then resized the larger images so they are all the same size. As you can see, by changing the export size you can vary the appearance of a single line style quite dramatically. I often export lines at a larger size than the rest of the model so I can make the lines very thin. This also allows me to manipulate the image/textures and so on without affecting the lines.

A new HDRI straight out the oven. I captured a strange paved pathway in the middle of nowhere. It's always been quite a mystery to me! Again, low angle sun with warm afternoon light. I am rendering with renditioner. The cg textures site is just pictures which are not suitable for mapping to a 3d object as far as I can see. I was hoping to map the texture to the model. Even apples and oranges are something of a challenge as the majority of so called textures on the web are just images. I wish folk would not describe their images as textures, it just muddues the water for search engines. Thanks for the replies anyway folks.

Hey Peter, this is an apt topic for me right now because I'm finally doing just that!! I have started filing my SKMs that I use most on Dropbox under a Resource folder so I can access them from home or work; also for my work colleague so we always have the latest set of materials [thinking about a core library or components as well but just need to make sure they're clean and not too big file size.... A SKM viewer would be good, actually a SKP viewer would be nice too; I'm using a 64bit machine!! And yes, I have cleaned out the standard range of roof tiles, sketchy materials, etc that came with SU3....
