Thanks, tuna. I'm always intrigued by interesting pieces by famous architects and designers. This one is quite a challenge, so it may take a while to finish it. Best, dh

Thanks Dave. Yeah those are some pretty nice styles , not surprised you use them too ! I think Sketcher is similar to Fotosketcher. Use it because they have a mac version, Fotosketcher doesn't. Forgot to mention the grain in the wood is mostly from the texture. It's out of Rich's npr woodgrain pac and the seat cushion texture is from Rich's npr fabric pac. Thanks Rich !

Don't you start, Pilou. That's the way the piece was made. Take it up with the designer.

[image: ULiZ_plywoodclubchaircopy.png] Thanks, slbaumgartner. Yes, the back is slanted at about 7 degrees. It butts against a vertical panel at the top. Everything is housed in dadoes in the side slabs. I removed the cushions to give you a better look. Best, dh

Thanks, Dave and Joe, The chairs do look unstable, but I'll bet they actually prove to be pretty solid and stable. Not that I want to try anytime soon. best, dh

Exactly. And I believe it was Perriand who designed the LC4. As far as I now, both are still in production. dh

Thank you gentlemen. @hornoxx said: Amazing how filigran the small joint is between armrest and backrest... It's a metal band bent into a U with a threaded pin passing through under the arm rest into the frame of the back rest. From what I can see, it looks like and afterthought to me. Not well designed. The position of the backrest is supposed to be adjustable. I don't think it's really designed to be used, though.

For generating the Gcode you could use SketchUcam from http://www.phlatforum.com This allows you to place cutlines around your existing flat shapes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXlvPy7rB44

Cotty, I'd love to render these models, but I have to upgrade Shaderlight first. Or, find a less-expensive rendering program. Any suggestions? (I've tried to install Thea Render but have never been successful; something about it that doesn't like the Mac). Dave, The tingling is kinda enjoyable. But I guess it's not a good idea to do electrical wiring in a rainstorm. Best, dh

Thanks and you're right! The piece I modeled this after is at the MET here in ny. It's dated 1918-1919.
