i agree a dream come true, i think the worst thing i could have done going into architectural 3d was start with sketchup, its ease of use and intuitive navigation has spoiled me for any other 3d apps, the huge leap to learning C4D/max just seems too much to fit into my schedule, friends of mine who work in Max and see me work in Sketchup have said that the makers of Max could learn something from sketchup and for a long time ive wished for mixture of max and SU, this [Bonzia3d] seems to be that combo, a quote from the website: "...and then be able to advance to the next level of detailed solid modeling" that next level is all im after, however i agree with Biebel that it had better support external Renderers ie Vray otherwise i wont be too impressed... another quote: "...can be smoothly rendered, animated..." so maybe it wont be so bad. i for one look forward to trying it.

@jcdb said: The first AutoCad version I used was Rel.9 DOS. Before that I used VersaCad. Many moons ago. Version 2.5 was the first for me, back in 1986. I was brought an IBM AT in one box, a card with some additional memory in another, a monitor in a third, and ACAD on floppies in the fourth box. I had only used a word processor before. Training? No money for that. First I had to figure out how to install the OS on the enormous 40 Mb harddrive... Anssi

I love that model! It used to be on @last's homepage and their gallery 5 years ago; I always wished the author would have posted it somewhere. It'd be great to give it the SketchyPhysics treatment. Thanks for the link.

This is an awesome way to rearrange your home without getting your hands dirty. One of the first things i did in Su was model my apartment and all my furniture. Then i rearranged everything in SU. Its nice to use the position camera feature to see exactly how it would look from say your front door, or standing in your kitchen. you can even set the position camera tool to your exact height.

I was going over some plans with a contractor who was pricing a project. When he saw REFLECTED CEILING PLAN he thought it meant the ceiling was finished with mirrors.

Mike, Looks good, not sire it'll work with my 6 mile cycle to work though. I have a feeling that fit people will buy it and then have competitions with their equally fit mates. I'd get one if it measured my riding time aswell.

Thanks for bringing this up its nice to know your in good company...IE I have been tormented by this in ACad as well. I wonder if it's possible to alter the mouse button assignments specifically for autocad within the mouse control panel?

I just noticed there a list button with more movies at the bottom of the media player. The footage with the whales is quite amazing. Surely this technology is the way forward? It's like standing within the movie.
