Really nice render. Its a very nice scene. Only crit would be to add some more detail to the windows. Theyre looking a bit sparse at the moment.

You're still getting that light leak on the couch and chair... but you are definitely improving each time... nice job!

Thanks guys. What I find frustrating is that the fluidity of working with SU breaks down as you start to get into models with a really fluid look to them. You can set FFD to work on a high-poly model -to get that extra curve you want- but if you do don't expect to use SU for a couple of hours. Oh well, the trick is to use limits to improve your creativity... at least that's how I rationalize it.

Bianhai, Awesome.... Jack bird wild action. Truly a bit of a wild deal, I'm not sure why but it reminds me of something you cut out and fold. Durant "fish are not paper" Hapke

Dale..... New guy here. To forum anyway. Images look very professional for sure. Care to talk about your work flow? Any 2D/3D CAD work before importing into SU? I think I saw you are MAC platform? Do you export/import from ArchiCAD? And at what point do you leave SU...... and where do you take it for 2D presentation? I am outside Philadelphia, PA USA.

I'll start posting some "step-by-step" images that show my process beginning with a SketchUp model and ending with a drawing that combines a SketchUp view with hand drawn entourage. The results are quick to produce and amazing. Am glad you are interested.

yep, they used a 1/2" cutting bit, and cut almost all the way thru in a couple of passes slow speed, then we brought them all back to the shop and hand routed the final pass to free the pieces. I was worried about the stock moving/warping after having such big curves cut out, but the old growth vertical grain stock didn't move a bit. nope haven't tried waterjetting yet, I'm pretty happy with the CNC work.
