    • What's the best way ?! [Organic Shapes - Buildings]

      hi everyone

what would be the best way for doing constractions like those curved?
i tried out few ways -
first i built the shape with lss tool - blend for the curved shape
than i thought i would seperate the wireframe and make the line to pipe tool
for the line without the faces ... but i only got the floor line and one more
line in one direction .. i need the mirror line too and more of the complex cons'.

tried the subdiv' tools but they all still have one directions line and not two sides.
      what do you say ?

      @brookefox said:

I failed to mention the wireframe, edges only selection as I thought it was clear. Seems it was not, but as you say 'line to tube' doesn't require that.

Here's one with the non-radially faced sphere (dome), in which the faces are more approximately equal on the surface. If it is desired that the grid be regular before draping then take the faces only and drape the even grid from '(sandbox) from scratch' or other and drape as Pilou showed. Once draped of course the grid is distorted (except in ortho plan view).

can you please explain how you made those constructions beam ? step by step ...

i started to work with maxwell plug for SU and one of the first problems that everybody
say about the slow render time is - to make all the colors not just the red to max 235,235,235.

so is what you said still work for me?
and how and where do i open the ruby script writer ?

    • Max file to su?

      hi every one

i am trying to import max file (sofa) from 3dsmax to sketchup.
whats the best way to import that file? i tryed few way but it keep
on coming in to su with millions of tringulars.

      what i tryed:

      1. open in 3dsmax and save as 3ds file than import from su
      2. open in 3dsmax and save as dae file (open collanda) than import to su
      3. same thing with obj format ...

and to all those options i make them smoother soften in su to move the tri's.
and use the plug for cleaning up ...
still its very havy and when i try to put material on it, it become so slow.

i should say that im doing that becuase im building everything on su and than
i put other thing like furnitures and lites for render it via maxwell plugin
      with it materials.

      what do you say ?
