Read-Only? Is it possible?
I have a couple of models I would like to share with some people but I don't want them to be able to edit or use the file as their own.
Is this possible?

RE: Spacing Off on Arch?
Thank you! That is why I am losing out on my spacing. I double checked my math and everything should have been hitting perfectly. Thank you!

Spacing Off on Arch?
Guys, I need some help. How do I get the spacing correct on both sides of an arch for my rafters to sit? Right now, I am using 4x4's as rafters and looking to get a spacing of 10" between.
I want it to be the same on both ends. Right now I am using the path to copy plugin, but am willing to use anything that will work.
Here is the left side, where is sits flush against the end:
Here is the right side where it is off a couple of inches:
I am not looking for someone to fix this for me, I want to know how.
Thanks for looking!

Your chimney looks too low. As a general rule of thumb (check your local building codes), the chimney should be 2' higher than any roof surface within 10'. Also, you ccannot have combustible materials penetrating it (the rafter tail on the back).
Also, I believe most wood sold for fireplaces is cut to fit a 36" wide fireplace (I had a friend with a narrow fireplace, and he had to chop his fire wood into smaller pieces), so if you plan on buying wood instead of chopping it yourself, you might verify what is sold in your area.
Yes sir, I do know the rule, the height on the chimney wasn't finished as of yet. The rafter tail on back would be attached to the outside of the fireplace, it would not run through it at all. (That would pretty stupid if someone would actually think that it could without it burning up ) The fireplace is 30 inch's wide at this moment as I thought 36" looked really wide but after doing some more research, the standard fireplace size is 36". Thanks for the info, I will make some changes and post back soon.

Outdoor Fireplace Questions
Here is the design, what I am having trouble with is the dimensions for the fireplace. Is there a rule you must follow when designing these? I found this:http://www.askthebuilder.com/B110_Fireplace_Design_Dimensions.shtml, but the firebox seems huge to me right now, the next step for me is going to be to make a plywood template to see what size looks right.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Help with Style...
I like the style of this sketchup model, how would I achieve this or is there a style out there I can upload that will result in a similar look?

If you place something exactly on top of something else it will show through - it's logical - which of them is to be shown - why of course they both are, after all they are in the same 'space'.
If you want the 'top' thing to be dominant then you must move it above the other objects.
Note that even if they are not coincident you can still get 'z-fighting' - the graphics drivers have to decide where stuff is and sometimes they'll get it wrong, even when things are actually separated in their spacing - so increase the spacing if that happens...That's what I figured. I fixed it by increasing the spacing 1/64" at a time until it no longer showed. Thank you!

Underneath seams showing through...
the top? How to fix?
The shingles are 1/16" thick and the plywood seams underneath are showing up? How to stop this?

OR, I would even suggest to export as a series of images and compile the whole animation in a dedicated software. Hre is a tutorial (linked in a pdf format) by Paul Russam:
