Thanks for your comments folks, I think we all have fond memories of the friendly corner shop.John looks good, i'm a bit of a fan of B&W Images.
regards John
Thanks, the raw render output is below, the Ivy was just one leaf made into a component, moved, scaled ect. Not perfect but better than PS, all the plants-trees are PS.
John
Thanks all, the last image was a bit of an afterthought after so much tweaking with the render. I used a great little piece of software http://www.hdrsoft.com/download/win.html , it's for hdri but you can use 1 image or adjust the exposure in PS first for 3 or 5 bracketed images.
Thanks John
Thanks Lee, the brick isn't SU but it's a pretty standard jpeg that I altered the colour. I've been looking at pics of the Shables lately.
Dave thank you also.
Out of bordem today, this is what you'd see if some rotten sod stuck you down a drain.........
James, thank you. Your comments are always welcome.
TIG, thank you also. These are all modelled "by eye" from pictures I find on the web, the hardest part is finding something to draw. Iβve made a Tutorial thatβs on James site but Iβm not sure if Iβm allowed to link it here. The old buildings have character and I love craftsmanship that went into constructing them, unlike the modern boxesof today; todayβs tradesmen (I use the word lightly) couldnβt hold a candle to the old boys! It seems there all chasing the money now and no longer have any pride in their work.
Regards John
That's why my 60s lodge looks 'rubbish' and your lodge looks great !
Kristoff, Thank you as always.
Pyroluna, Thank you for your comments also. Small windows are not a problem here, we have Electricity, flick a switch and the lights come on! its bloody brilliant stuff, we even have Gas if it gets cold. The reason for the tiling to the grass was a problem with Moles, anyway one dismissed that gardener after that little fiasco π
