There's some weird experimenting going on in that house, by the looks of them lights. Other than that:
Like the reflections on the cobble stones (that the right word?).

That's beautiful. If I ever have a daughther, I'm gonna call her that.
Thanks, Mateo. Luckily, I have all the time in the world to use it. I'm not a professional, so I can afford the render times.
SU + MoI + Podium + Indigo + Maxwell. I'm beginning to have really nice toolbox.

love the camera angle on those indigo images! where is this vegetation from?? i need to buy some..
btw, i'm using the a pre-release version of the new maxwell sketchup plugin that includes instancing and its working great so far
i just need to look into using dummy components now..
I pm'ed Pelias earlier today to get my hands on this baby. How's workflow?
Er, sorry for this, Kwisten. Bit of a hijack.
Excellent image again - Asgvis should take a look at instancing.
Well, happy new year to you too. Keep the renders coming.
I will. Got a long weekend coming up. I plan on playing with my new toy.
The ones on the Beth Rishon site look good as well. Nice work.
"you should be able to just register and then have access to the forum."
Did that yesterday. I can access it just fine. Posting is something else, though.
"I have had Maxwell since the beta (which has worse than terrible). I say I have "had it" because I have not used it hardly at all."
I plan on using it quite a lot. I need the quality and, especially, the control over lighting it offers. I really regret that Indigo hasn't got Multilight, as it surely offers the better workflow. (Did I mention yet I recommend Indigo?
)
"Also, check out the MXM gallery. They have great pre-built materials that will save you alot of time."
One of the reasons I bought it, mate.
Took a peak earlier today. Some nice stuff in there.
Hmpf. Wanted to ask about this over at the Maxwell forum. But I can't, as I haven't been granted 'special access' yet. Seems like the NL people have a problem with efficiency in more than one regard.
Thanks, I'll have a poke around at the Maxwell forum (you know ... Rendering Elite HQ). I have this sneaking suspicision it might be best to have a "Current Project" map with copied mxm's and textures on my desktop.
Arroway - I've all their dvd's. Except for the last one. Which I cannot get as I am now out of money.
Separate bank accounts, mate, separate bank accounts.
Being a fan of Maxwell's output (and of it's Multilight feature), I decided last Friday to give NextLimit a small fortune, in exchange for a license.
Now, when I first took a look at Maxwell, little over a year ago, lots of people were having problems with textures not being found etc. I assumed those were ironed out. But no. Maxwell insists on looking for the Arroway jpegs it comes with on my
drive.
Which is weird, as I don't have a
drive. I'm on a Mac. I tried to set different paths under Preferences, but no luck.
I guess my question is: how did you fellow Maxwell users overcome this? You don't actually point Maxwell to the right textures every time, do ya?
Let's not forget even Joyce was mocked by his contemporaries.
Bought it. 1038,20 β¬
Unfortunately, I gotta wait til monday to actually get it.
Maxwell's bleedin' expensive - but I feel it's worth it. Export times are ridiculous, though. Them NextLimit boys gotta get together with Whaat.
Bed. Now.
Looks good. Put some grime on that boat's hull (thats a word, isn't it?), will ya? Now I really gotta go to bed.
You + certain software =
I wholeheartedly agree! All rendering apps have their pros and cons. The same goes for rendering methods. At the moment, I use Podium and Indigo. They're both good at different things. And I'm very seriously considering buying Maxwell - I simply cannot resist Multilight any longer.
"It is a comprimise and it all depends on the job." Nothing to add. This is just true.
A good start, but I have to agree with G. (hey, that rhymes!). Also, your arcs need more segments.
