I've been trying to do some terraine modeling and am having problems with the smoove function. Everytime I try to set the vertex to do the smoove on it seems to hang my machine and i get the windows "application not responding" or instead of marking the involved verticies to selects all of the verticies (really slow, like a couple of minutes slow). I'm on a 2Ghx single core machine using a GeForceFX video card. Anyone got a clue to what I'm doing wrong or is there a bug in SketchUp 7?

Has anyone come across a good tutorial on creating and scaling textures for sketchup? By scaling I mean being able to associated a size with a texture swatch (so that a brick is the standard brick size...). I'm skinning my models and want to use actual images of doors and windows.

I have imported a map of a city and traced the bases of the building and extruded them upward. Looks pretty good. Now I want to properly size the building (so the whole map has a scale). I seem to remember that there is a way to select an edge that I know what the size is supposed to be and then set it to that size and have the whole model scaled likewise. Help...
