About the zoom, seems you can make the same with Zoom view + Zoom previus
Zoom view + Zoom previus ... plugins? or something basic I missed (duh?)
Nope, no plugin; it's right there in the zoom section of the Large Tool Set.
Ah you mean Zoom previous ...
Pilou, no, you can't do the same. Snap loupe is very quick function - you place cursor over desired area and then hit Z key .. here and there.. very fast

Could implementation of such a solver into SU kernel enhance SU performance on highpoly models or make inferencing more accurate and fluent..?
Another idea.. John Bacus wrote this:
SketchUp's inference engine works senses available inferences within a region of fixed size around the cursor. By zooming in, SketchUp has fewer available inferences inside that region, and it is easier to pick the 'right' one.
Could instant zoom function similar to VectorWorks snap loupe solve this?

Trimble should form something like Skunkworks not kill creativity and DRIVE...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk_Works
"The designation "skunk works", or "skunkworks", is widely used in business, engineering, and technical fields to describe a group within an organization given a high degree of autonomy and unhampered by bureaucracy, tasked with working on advanced or secret projects."

Well, I guess that some of these new ventures can compete with Google but until Bing or Nokia or any other ones only focus on bigger US cities (and maybe some European ones) and neglect other areas, this will only be seen about my place...
There is still place for locally focused services ..
Our local competitor of Google has pretty decent and powerful map service. The quality of aerial images is oustanding and it covers whole country.. they have no 3d yet
There are 3D data ...
Nokia 3d cities were created using C3 technology .. Nokia can not update or expand their 3d maps because of 3C being sold to Apple. (probably)
Interesting ... what this means for Nokia..?

I'm making me a backup copy of SU8 and all my favorite plugins ... just in case.
that theory will only work for a year or two on Mac
unless you don't do OS updates.

iOS isn't backward compatible?
Look closely at the shape of blade profilation of the VAWT on picture and compare it with your design ...
Flat side of the wing shaped blade is exposed to wind and it is also slightly twisted..
