I got the Vray demo about two months ago. It was supposed to expire after a month. It is still working, fortunately for me. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Cool Looking Light
Does anyone know what the light fixture at the right side of this picture is called? I need to find more pictures to model this.

RE: Steampunk Tank
Wow, I am very impressed with the PS texturing. How long did that take?

The reason i ask about a tutorial is because it'd be interesting to see what setting you used etc. As I'm some who is struggling to get to grips with VR, and there's very little out there that caters for beginners, i find that a detailed step by step approach to show how someone progresses through a project would benefit the noobs greatly. I've done the PDF manual that is on the VR website but find that it is limited in its approach and spends a lot explaining the simple things rather than how to apply settings to get desired effect!
But that said i have been called a dumb ass in the past and maybe rendering isn't for me????????
I only have the trial version of V-ray, and all I did for my renders is hit the render button. I am more experienced with Kerkythea. If you have any specific questions I would be glad to attempt to answer them.

RE: Bucklen theater
Wow, that is a lot of detail; what render engine on the first one?

It's looking very impressive so far, you should do a tutorial on it for novice Render Users.
Which Render program are you using anyway?
Thanks for the comment Rich, as for my rendering software, I used v-ray for every one except the last one. For the last one I rendered it in Kerkythea, and added a glow effect in Paint.net. I would consider myself far from a master at rendering, but if people show intrest in a basic tutorial I will give it a shot, but I need to Know what types of things people want, would you just want a step by step tutorial on what I did for this particular model and render?
-Thanks -

Looks good so far, but where's the escape tunnel?
What's the purpose of your project? Is the final render gonna be gritty and grimy with some nice textured tiles etc?
I'm interested to see final render so keep posting.
Rgds
RichI decided to texture the model with a more grimy look. There is not really any purpose for my project, I am Just doing it for fun. Thanks for the comment

RE: [SPLIT TOPIC] Vray and exteriors question
I disagree that v-ray is not good for exteriors. If you have not already seen this amazing v-ray render, check it out.

Solitude
I have recently begun modeling a cell block of Alcatraz. I am mostly done modeling, and texturing is also finished with a few possible changes possible. My renders so far have probably come out a little to dark. Comments and Questions Very Welcome!

Plugin Request- Ager
I have been wondering if there is a plugin existing that can simulate aging or breaking down on objects. For example, random dents, random bending,or deletion. Can something like this be created?

RE: The Blue, Old Airplane
Here is the model in the 3D Wharehouse.
Also, when I was trying to add a motion blur to the propeller in the last shot it didn't work out, so if anyone could help it would be much appreciated.

RE: FLW -The Morris house (Seacliff)
The architecture on those buildings is great, I especially like the window placement.
