I am trying to create a concrete block wall that is scalable as a dynamic component and unsure how best to go about it. I want this component to be able to scale along the 3 axes and generate new wall sections as it does so. I tried playing around with the attributes section of dynamic components but have been unsuccessful for now. I have seen other dynamic components being created by others and tried to follow their examples but it seems that the uniqueness of each component takes one so far. I am uploading a copy of the file in its raw format (i.e., no changes have been made to the component's attributes) and hoping that a helping hand is available.

Help With Creating A Scaling Dynamic Component

RE: I invite for acquaintance with Russian plug-in
From his site it seems that he will very soon be releasing version 2.0.

RE: Halo
At this point in the book not much has been said of watermarks aside from enabling and disabling them. But the author is asking his readers to create a template to be used when modelling. Part of this involves editing various settings. What I don't understand is why the need to create a watermarker underlay and overlay. Do I need to create some picture that can be used as a watermarker?
The author makes no reference to using Style Builder in creating Sketchy Lines. Does Halo only appear in Style Builder?

Halo
I am creating some new Styles and cannot seem to find one of the settings as shown in an author's book. Please see attachment for visual.
There is also something about Watermarks that I don't understand.

RE: Reloading Components
Very well. I see that something must have gone amiss as I was following an exercise. Will have to retrace my steps to see where I went wrong.
As a side question, does Xref Manager do the same thing as Reload?

RE: Reloading Components
Hmmm, now I am truly perplexed. I am uploading the file. Perhaps either one of you can further explain to me what is happening.

RE: Reloading Components
Then I don't understand what you mean by closed. The component is not in editing mode. All I did was to select all faces and edges.

RE: Reloading Components
Sorry to write that the option still does not appear. If it does still exist should it not at least be visible but greyed out, as the Explode command is?

Reloading Components
Has the option to reload components been put into the bit dust bin?

Creating Arrays
I know how to create an array on the horizontal and vertical plane. But how does one do it along the circumference of an object, the perimeter of an rectangle, and any other regular/irregular shape?

RE: Vertical --> Horizontal
Yes, Dave, your method is much more straight forward and simple. But I was trying to follow the steps outlined in an exercise. Thanks to everyone for their input.

RE: Vertical --> Horizontal
Ok, so I redid everything and posting the steps and result. Am I doing anything wrong?

RE: Vertical --> Horizontal
The circle was initially drawn horizontally but the exercise I am working on required that it be moved into a vertical position and then draw a second circle on the horizontal plane.
The next step was to select the outer edge of the horizontal circle and then with the follow-me tool click on the surface of the vertical circle to create a sphere. That seemed to go alright but I got a message that I am unsure what to make of it. See attachment for visual.

RE: Vertical --> Horizontal
I could not quite get the angle to draw on either the red/blue axis by orbiting. But found that using the Camera View to left/right side did allow me to draw the horizontal circle.

Vertical --> Horizontal
How does one draw a horizontal circle when one is in another vertical circle's component instance? It seems that where ever I place the cursor it is only possible to draw another vertical circle.

Vertical Lines & Faces
I am having trouble elminating some vertical lines and still keeping the face. If there is a solution to this then do let me know.

RE: Resizing Not Working
Oh, ok. I must have forgotten about having to use Ctrl when clicking.
