The dimensions should have been reversed and the 6'-7 1/16" is what was generated when I used the dimensioning tool. When I used the tape measure I inputed 8' pressed enter. But when I went to measure it the dimension had not changed.

I am in the process of doing an exercise involving creating a model from an image and came to the point where I know the actual size on one component. I tried using the tape measure to input the dimensions but it's not resizing for some reason(s). Neither the component, nor the whole image in turn is resizing to the actual dimensions. I am uploading the file for analysis. Any help in understanding why this is happening would be appreciated.

I am unclear as to what exctly can already be done manually. Would you specify, as you have for Intersect Overlapping Lines, what else can be done manually?

I am trying to follow some exercises in a book on Sketchup which requires that one install a number of plugins. They are as follows:

Are there any alternatives or equivalents to the above list and in particular the ones that are not free? I know of there being clf_scale_rotate_multiple.rb for Randor.

For some unknown reason when creating a group the option of giving it a name does not present itself. I have tried the following:

Selected the Group
Window > Preferences > Shortcuts
Filter: Group
Selected: Edit/Item/Edit Group
Clicked in Add Shortcut
Pressed: Shift-E
Pressed [ + ] button
Clicked OK

2. Using the Reset All option.
