when in plan view ur axis divides the entire spaace into 4 QUADRANTS.. so the left upper quadrant is the NE quadrant... considering the NS-EW direction! πŸ˜‰
one of the first basic things u learn in engineering drawing! πŸ˜‰

Do you mean the upper left, or am I confused. Looking at a map, NE would be the upper right. That's also the quadrant (octant?) within the darker axes lines.

When I took engineering drawing we used graphite sticks encased in wood and rubbed them on pressed wood pulp.

    • RE: Image attachment size...

I uploaded a skippy and was told the max file size was 512K. I cleaned it a bit to 500K and it went up just fine.

    • Speed my slow PC for SU

What can I do - on a budget - to make SU run more smoothly on my PC. Using the "crowd test," (copy below) things start getting jumpy at level 6 and it's a major pain by level 8.

      I'm running a Dell 3100 desktop with a Pentium 4 2.8 ghz and 2 gig of ram.
I'm using the on-board graphics (no graphics card).

I recently went from 512 meg of ram to 2 gig and that made a big difference in some programs, but had no effect in SU.

      Questions:
Are there any settings I can change to take advantage of my new memory?
How much money would I have to spend on a graphics card to make a big difference?
      Anything else I can do?

      Thanks to whoever made this!

Just check'n to see that things work here as expected. I like the "sketchy" reply and quote buttons. It would be fun to extend that theme.

Have you experimented with Scenes? I use them to do what you describe.

May I suspect what this means, Didier?

I found a source to Read the Manual at: http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/Cloud.pdf

      And I've got a question.
What data sources do you use for this? Are there terrain maps on the web in this format?
