exactly, that's the problem!!

it is a really large file for attaching it here, or exist another way to upload it.
I don't know if the problem is about the scale as every thing is scaled in meters.
the biggest problem is about the textures, i cannot put them onto the sofa.

Hi guys.
I don't if i need a plugin to make my model working properly.
what happens is: i imported my model from autocad (saved as 3ds) to sk, but i cannot put on it any texture so when i try to get a pic, or to export it into kerty it doesn't appear at all.
I attach a pic for a better understanding.

I was trying to download v-ray, but since i got it doesn't exist a downloadable version for mac, i started looking for kerkythea, but it was a flop, because i am still trying a site from which i can download it.

I know guys, everything start with a good model, but i do think it sarts with a good idea.
I saw thousands of great models and renders, but at the of the fifty% of them were lacking in creativity.
I think i could but like a book o a bottle on shelf, but what is important is the design of shelf.
As i said, i do intend to learn the, I think magic tool which is sk, but i think i need time, as starting with a poor model and by a rendering engine getting a nice pic is just the start.
I will keep looking at your post couse i think are all really usefull.
As soon i will get someimage i will post them, thanks.

i bought it in December 2007, it's a white one.
it's an OS-X 10.5.8, 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2.
Ram 2GB 667MHz DDR2 and the monitorchip is a GMA X3100.
I have 36 GB available.
So as you said, it's more than probably that's monitor-chip fault.
it's weird that su 7 (this is the version) doesn't work whilest cinema4d works ok.
well, i should change the chip for working smooth with it.
