Didier many thanks for your efforts!
Double click for close is neat idea though I couldn't manage to get good result- it's a bit messy.

@chango70 said:
When you say multi-core support what do you mean? Do you mean for exporting video and images? As far as I understand its impossible to make the modeller itself use more than one core and there are no modelers out there that does that.
Second about that. Multicore is for rendering process only AFAIK.

Hi Tomot!
Can you switch to "cut window" gluing components not groups as the result?
There's Didier Bur's ruby to cut thick wall. Even more you could
unite 2 scripts.I'm sorry I don't understand your comments.
and can you be more specific: what are the exact names
of the scripts you are taking about?
Hi!
Your tools produce groups not components. Correct?
Components instead of groups are better idea IMHO.
Components with "cut opening" and "glue to any plane" (to cut a single plane-wall) would be the best. (See components-architecture-
windows for instance). -
RE: [Plugin] Double line
Hi!
c=circle
x=explode.
Generally the letters are bad idea.
Could it be just cntl click for for close? -

RE: [Plugin] Double line
I was missing this tool. Many thanks indeed!
Some minor problems:
1/ Sometimes it refuses to make "walls" after tracing over existing lines.
2/ Sometimes it it makes negative Z height.
3/ Could the last parameters input be remembered?Could there be option to get vertical (along world z axis) not perpendicular "wall" to sloped face?...with sloped\terraced
upper cap to keep average height?

RE: [REQ] Double Offset
There's already some kind of double offset: use windowizer with 0 inset

RE: Windowizer
Hi Rick!
Could true box (not single plane) glazing be added in v4?
It's good for big boy renderers like vray. -
RE: Paint bucket troubles
The simplest way to solve this issue is to upload your problematic .skp (or part of it).
My guess is it's all because your avatar
Am I gettin' old? -
RE: A request to TBD and/or Didier Bur
Use standard copy+ Jim's mover2 to randomize.
The best way imho. -
RE: [Plugin] Lines to tubes
Very nice Didier, thanks
Additionally may be you could:
1/ add a rotation parameter (when precision is 4 one would get square section (rotation 45))
2/now I weld lines to get continuous result. Any chance to get it automatically?
3/conjunctions? -
RE: [Plugin] Component Spray Tool 1.3.
Didier thanks for your efforts!
One can get interesting things with new vertice mode.

[URL=http://g.imageshack.us/g.php?h=212&i=screenshot060qi3.jpg][IMG]http://img212.imag
But there's bug in vertex+no to keep vertical . It's not working (see lonely cylinder over mesh, in all other cases components stay vertical)
To "keep vertical" unchecked will result the component to be placed vertical to mesh, it'll work this way, right?
P.S. I'm not programmer (my wife is- it's enough for one family) but you're one step from "spray along vertices of curve" ?
P.P.S. Do you shine in ruby field only or there are some lisp routins of yours? -
RE: [Obsolete] Component Spray Tool
Didier is it complicated to add a new spray shape-
vertexes of selected surface ? There'll be lot of use for this mode. -

Hi,

I have 30+ components in a model, yet the plugin only recognises 5,
What's the difference between the 2 kinds ? (imports, DXF/DWG, own library vs SU library, etc ?)

I have luck it tries to spray 809234803924789789798 components
Check out the surface of your components. If it's a grass sprig, you're likely to get millions of them...

Of course.
I'd be happy if you Didier could help me straighten my hands a little )
Here's spray.skp
http://www.mediafire.com/?ozzdmv9cplx
I can't spray component#2 at all.
With component#3 I get notice about zillion iterations.
What do I wrong?
P.S. After posting I finally understood
The plug simply doesn't work with 2d stuff (no matter linework or faces)- 3d only. Could it be fixed? 2d dummy components are good for keeping the file size light in modeling stage. -
RE: [Obsolete] Component Spray Tool
Workaround:
Take the host surface and cut&paste to a new blank file and complete your dirty deeds there.
There's other problem- the script is highly buggy (of course may be my hands simply are growing from the @ss)
1/In most cases I can't complete circle\rectangle input.Simply can't.
2/Even if I have luck it tries to spray 809234803924789789798 components (with lowest pressure and normal radius).
The only reason I didn't throw it away is the point mode.It's pretty predictable and stable. -

Steal it from max
@SU team.
I'd like to be able to save material assignment states within scenes.Just like in max. -
