Keep in mind most renderers use some (a lot) of post processing in Photoshop or similar after their bake their renders. With post processing you can fix things like white balance much easier than fiddling with settings via the render software.

I know it might be a little more involved but Unity might be a good option as well.

Crop model to box Plugin
Hi, I have a large 3d site model imported from AutoCAD and I'm trying to crop it down. Does anyone know of a plugin that will automatically delete everything from a group outside a box?
I have attempted to use the "Intersect with model" but it would require a lot of manual deleting after the fact.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,

RE: Advice needed - building on location
One of the most common methods is to take some site/context photos of the site with surrounding buildings, use sketchup to place the model using photomatch, then adjust shadows to match the context photo, render the model and in post processing "add" the rendered building to the context photo.

RE: Bug white wine glass
Shouldn't he scale it by 99.99% to make it smaller rather than larger?

RE: [Plugin][$] TopoShaper - v2.7a - 01 Apr 24
I'm trying to use Toposhaper to create a topo from points. I have points selected and when I run the plugin all I get is a blank error.

RE: Sketchup crashes when vray is used
Haha...asking for help here after announcing you have a cracked copy is like calling the Police to let you out of the Bank you just broke into. Good luck with that.

RE: V-Ray 3.4 IES Light NOT On
Is this a trial version of Vray? In the past, with the trial, you could only have one light operable.

RE: Render lines
There seems to be an outline on your tub as well. Are you doing an overlay or a Toon effect at all?

RE: Rendering Puzzle
What you are seeing on the pillar is in fact a texture that is scaled down very tiny and repeating. You need to increase the size of the texture to something more realistic.

RE: Color not match when render
Did you use the Sketchup Material Browser to change the color of the material? If that is the case then it won't change the diffuse texture for Vray. You would have to use Photoshop or similar to change the color of the diffuse texture of the vray material.

RE: Vray Light start distance
Based off of the result image, it looks like a spotlight would work better than an omni light. Just have one spotlight pointing up and the other down. You can then control the light cone better to achieve the look you want.
Alternately if you know the manufacturer of the light fixture you could go online and see if they have a supplied IES file to get the nice scallop affect of the reference photo.

RE: White blazing
From looking around it seems that it might be a case of the Irradiance Map settings being too low. Try setting the Min/Max to -3/0 or -4/-1.

Sure but VRay is a "Pro" render, Visualizer is just one Button Pressed!
But this is a Vray forum, so I suspect that the OP is looking for help with Vray, not a new rendering engine.

RE: Vraytoon - Unable to get lines at inclined edge
Try increasing the "Normal Threshold" in the toon material.
