Didn't know there was a Kerky forum... I'll go there...
Thank you to all!
Critical info I failed to mention: I'm on a Mac machine, not PC.
Hope there's someone that can provide the same excellent info for my platform.
Thanks!
Thanks to you all for responding... I'm in the process of (I think) setting it up to work with SU-7. I finally deduced that the .rbs files, et al, needed to go into the plugins folder, and now I'm downloading material libraries from their site.
I'm wondering if any of you might know what happens when, under the Plugins menu, I ask it to "Export Model"? Nothing happened other than it created an .xml file that I saved to a new KT Folder inside of the customer's main file.
I thought I'd see my SU-7 model in a KT window, but it's not happening.
Thanks for any "light you may shed" on this issue.
Anyone familiar with use of Kerkythea Echo for rendering night-lighting in Sketchup?
Reply to myself:
Found original email with authorization key and serial number. Procedure was a replay of the original mounting process.
First, went to http://sketchup.google.com/gsu6/download.html to download the app
Then referred to the email "Your Network copy of Google SketchUp Pro 6! (Mac OSX)" from Laura Allen... copied and pasted key and serial numbers into the license authorization window that popped up during installation.
Chose default, opened a file, SU running ok with a moderately complex model. It never ran super fast on my laptop anyway. Sometimes, and especially for presentations, it's the best way.
HELP!!! How do I get Sketchup-Pro6 back after Erase/Install?????
Although I'm not experiencing problems on my desktop iMac7,1-Intel Core 2 Duo, machine. my laptop canceled the program altogether.
On my desktop, running 10.5.4, SU-Pro6 has been working fine on fairly complex models and much faster and efficiently in its use of resources, compared with my PowerBook G4 that was running 10.4.11.
HOWEVER, I just upgraded the laptop to 10.5.4, so it may be I'll discover a negative response once I get SU running again.
PROBLEM IS, I need to get Sketchup back on my laptop after finding out the preliminary backup to external hard drive didn't include any existing applications. I had backup for everything else, but I'm missing Sketchup-Pro6 because it was a downloaded purchase and no disc is available.
Does anybody know how I get it re-mounted?
Thanks in advance,
Rafael (here or directly to roqin@mac.com)
Anybody know how my Sketchup Pro6 can be brought back into my Mac after the erase and install upgrade to Leopard OSX?
I finally got the new Leopard working, but now I have to get Sketchup back up and running. HELP!
Hi... I'm definitely new (on hour ago). Are .style files usable? For example, my daughter was just married (I'll be digging myself out of that hole for years BTW), and I'd like to email her photos to her in-laws in a page that looks like the master's book. Is such a custom application of his .style file possible?
Thanks in advance and, if it IS possible, inexpressible thanks.

Hello all,
This is my first style.
I downloaded the file. Now what? Do I place the file in a folder or import it to Sketchup some other way?
PS: This looks like a model, not (strictly speaking?) a style... that is, I thought a style was a palette element able to be applied to a surface in Sketchup.
Hello,
I'm new, live in Hollywood CA; have been using Sketchup since mid 2007 ('bout a year) for Design Review Board presentations with Southern California municipalities... as well as simply for illustration of work for clients.
Recently started doing long-distance design with online discussion and transfer of documents, text-messaging with tradesmen in the field, mobile calls with customers and contractors. Requires patience, but I see a huge future for this kind of work... contractors respond enthusiastically to the tools it provides for their client communications and their ability to see the effect of various ideas without the cost of trial and error, great flexibility.
I'm interested in learning how to add and make styles and tasteful backgrounds for renderings; am enjoying seeing the work of some very talented people on this forum.
