Do SU have global axes? Can object coordinate in space displayed? How do you deal with multiple objects located all over the space?

RE: 2D 3D
Thanks for you input all. Here is my second more complex 2D face me component; a roman soldier.

RE: 2D 3D
Ok, I created simple 2D face me component.
At first I was skeptical about drawing on front view. Because, when one draws in 3D space, SU always draws on red / green plane, and not on blue / red plane. Why does it work in this case?
I am working on somewhat more complex 2D face me component. I am using line segments to create organic look; that way I can control line count. Biggest problem though is SU keep wanting to inference. The pen keep jumping / snapping at place where I don’t want the point to be! How do you stop it from snapping? -
2D 3D
SU contains 2 types of components; 3D and 2D. System Preferences under Template has this 2D 3D choices. What are they? And, how do you make 2D component that display normal to camera view at all times, like people component?

RE: Behavior of SU surface
(one exception is if the surface dimension(s) are too small,
This mall dimension comment comes up time to time. How small: 1/32”, 1mm? Can you use SU to make a model of a mechanical part at 1/1000th of an inch?

RE: Behavior of SU surface
Thanks, drawing across forms the surface. In one case where I had a problem one of the point was out of plane. I don’t know how it got there. But I know now what to look for now.
but if you ever start rendering….
I take it that SU don’t have good render engine? And, you need to export SU geometry for render? That is more photo real render. -
Behavior of SU surface
Some times when I create freehand closed loop of edges, the surface fail to form with in it. Or, once I erase the surface, closed loop of edges remains but there seems to be no function to recreate that surface. How do you fill in closed loop edges with surface?
Also I found by accident while making detailed form using Push / Pull tool some surface turned deep blue color. I took that surface with different color is reversed. And found the menu to reveres it. How is SU dealing with front and back of surface? Does it matter which side faces outside of object? Can you not paint the back surface?

RE: How do you create ones own component library?
Thanks it worked. I managed to copy and recalled my object in component dialog box.

How do you create ones own component library?
I created simple Refrigerator, made it a component, and exported to SketchUp / Component / Architecture file. My component doesn’t show when I restart SketchUp. What is the proper way to create my own component library?
