I've searched the Kohler models. The models are good but just not exactly the model I'm searching for.

New progress render. Need to tweak the background some more. It has to much contrast now I think. Next step is the garden on the bottom floor.

Hi Guys,
Love to see that my thread spawned a good discussion. Love to be of service . This thread started after getting inspired by pics on architectural blogs. Wanted to do something with elevations. Combination of outdoor and indoor. After seeing Artysmedia's thread I decided to do a progress tread. I understand what TIG is saying and I hope the establish my creative identity as I evolve in my work ( in generally ). Here are some new test renders. Starting on the interior now. And still looking for a perfect backdrop picture. I'm looking for a picture overlooking a bay with hilly sides. Still would love some comments on the scene and render.
I don't agree with you but I respect your Opinion. No Goldenfrog soap here . I will continue with this scene and I've no doubt that I can make a scene with a nice soul to it. So maybe I can change your opinion along the way . I was really expecting a comment on my remark about the people falling down haha. Tonight I don't have time to work on the model because my ex and a girlfriend of her are comming over to watch a movie So I'm probably busy. But hope to post new progress soon.

thanx for the comments. The Louvre Doors are there for a reason. the bottom gallery has no windows behind the Louvres so there it's to prevent people falling down ( sorry for the wise comment , haha ) and for the top two galleries they are for shading. The are fully slidable so there are many possibilities. I will make a version with more commercial style Louvres just to see if you are right Scott. I don't worry about the soul of the building,I think wthis will come along as I progress further in de model and render. On the ground level there will be a garden. I think this will give the scene It's " Soul ".

Hi Everybody,
After playing with Vue the last 2 months I think It's time to focus on a new project. Started this model of a modern residence. Love some feeback on the model.

Thanxs pete, excuse my laziness. I could have googled it myself
Is there a way to get rid of this Moire effect. I/m ging to have this problem a lot because I love to work with blinds and grids in my models. It's kinda my style of modeling. Does it help to crank up the AA? or maybe change the perspective of hte view?
thanx for the reply. I've used Volumetric lighting and Global Radiosity. I used the superior render preset. Could you please explain Moire effect.

Hi Everybody,
My latest model and render. Model made in SU 7 Pro and rendered in Vue 8. A lil PP because the leaves of the yellow bush were visible through the wall . Love some feedback on this one. I changed the vegetation 5 times because I wasn't happy with the result. This is the first one I Think is worth showing. I would love some feedback on the model and render. I'm still figuring out the AA options in Vue, because of the noise in the pic. But I think it's also caused by the wooden blinds and the volumetric lighting of the spots in the scene. After Finishing this one , It time to play with Thea Render tonight.

Like the renders. Nice work as usual . Did you spray the trees with component spray ruby? A bit like spraying ecosystems in Vue

[Update] Hi Guys, A bit late but I made one with Trees. But I may have overdone it a bit haha. wanted to post it sooner but Vista decided to do a update overnight so my first render was lost Love some comments on this one. And Yes you can comment freely and without fear of offending me ( This will not turn out in a Golden Frog Soap

Like the design. Nice and clean design. Hope It will stay that way because here in the Netherlands most Utility buildings become a grafitti masterpiece after only one week .

Hi Everybody,
Thanxs for the feedback. I also like the mood of the picture as it is, but I think I'm going to ad a few trees just to give it a try. Maybe some Ash trees with sparse foilige. I made the model after seeing a reference picture on the internet. In that design the support beams don't support the roof. The model can do with some work. ( interior lighting and some extra exterior details ) Will post a version with trees tomorrow I have enough time tonight. It's very hard to combine a non artistic job ( pension advisor ) with my Hobby ( dreamjob ) SU and Rendering and a social live haha

Hi Everybody,
Been working on a model of a Bridge House in SU and Vue. First render. And I'm wondering if I have to add some trees or just work some more on the model and the river? I think it has a certain thing to it without trees. what do you guys think?

Hi Everybody,
I want to make a image transition between line pic and render with a slider in it like to one on the indigo sketchup page.
It's made by Pibuz. Also forum member here. Don't know if he made it or just the render and model. Cant anybody explain how its made. Maybe a tutorial or an handy piece of software to achieve this.
Greetz From Holland
I agree with the tips Pete gave you. also decrease the ammount of bump to 0.1 or less for good results. Working with normals with displacement increases the render time. I've read that the new version. 8.4 has improvements in render time for displacement.
