This is a model made by my partner. I thibk it came out very nice. Still working on the diamond texture in Hypershot, but model is ok. Any feedback on model would be nice.

I also like this architectural test. But the model is very good so thats a plus for rendering in Hypershot.

Does anybody know of any good links for Free HDRI's or Backgrounds/Backplates voor architectural renders??

I was looking for design design contests. they will be done with SU but that's not the focus. Thanx for the great links so far.
Some Hypershot Render tests. Very nice software. Only took 5 min to render images. Models are from 3D Warehouse. Still working on an architectural one with textures. But I think the Clay render is very good for 3 min of rendering.

I agree with Plot-Paris. IDX renditioner looked ppromissing but the render results are pretty basic in my opinion. I think its very hard to achieve a photorealistic result. But for quick rendering its ok.
Does anybody know how to achieve a realistic metal look?
Downloaded it and it works. But I'm struggeling to achieve a photorealistic result. I think it really depends on the quality of the textures used. Tips and trics are welkom.

My bussines partner is practicing modeling. Above the result of 3 hours modeling.
Feedback is welcome.

I've had the same problem with transparent trees. Also alpha maps. Have you tryed exporting with Photomatch on? this ussualy solves your problem
Hi everybody,
I,ve made this Render is a test. Trying to achieve good exterior results. I think this one is a good beginning. My goal is to produce renderings that are acceptable for sale. Trying to start a 3D Design studio with a friend of mine. My friend is very good in moddeling, and I'm focussing on the artist Impressions. Can someone give me an idea on how much to charge for:
The problem is that a lot of small time real estate agents are working with a tiny margin. They ussualy get about 1% of the selling value. So it's difficult to ask to much for the pics and design.
I hope my English isn't too bad.

Second room try with Indigo. Beginning to like this renderer.
Trying to achieve this soft feel in Kerkythea also, but without succes so far.
Please dont comment on the plant, haha. It looked OK in the 3D warehouse. But the rendered result is sooo ugly.
I've tried this displacement mapping in Indigo and this is the result. Still a few errors, but I think its already better then my first try. I screwed up the bumpmap for the floor. i've noticed I didn't use a greyscale for this.
I'm struggeling with the lighting now. Lights realy take a lot more time to render . Any tips to speeds things up. I work with Kerkythea and Indigo

I've tryed this displacement in Indigo. Works good with stone and wood. Grass is more difficult. But I think it depends on the quality of the texture or greyscale. I think the darker parts are the lowest and the lighter parts higher ( stick out ). So I think it could be a matter of resolution of the texture. I'll post some pics of my attempts soon.
Thanks for the feedback frederik,
Maybe you have some tips for this displacement mapping. This is new to me. Can i use the texture as displacement map or do I have to make a grayscale image?
I' ve also noticed that the Indigi renders have a softer feel to them then my Kerkythea renders. Why? Is this in the settings? In my opinion Kerkythea has a clinical look with renders, to sharp.
Thank you remus. Finally a fast answer to a question. Thanx for the tip about the exit portals. I.m going to have a look at the Indigo forum for soms tips about this. So Exit portals are a bit like sky portal in Kerkythea?
Do you use the materials from the mat database on the Indigo site? Some work for me but sometimes I get an fatal error when using some. but the trouble is I dont know wich materials.
But my biggest problem is Time. This rendering and modeling Business is very time consuming. I find it difficult to combine with my job and my Girlfriend. Haha.
Thanxs for the feedback. I like the soft feel to. I let it render for about 24 hours ( I'm using a Acer Laptop that just isnt good enough, but that aside ). I still had a lot of noise. I opened teh file in Photoshop and used the noise filter. This saves a lot of render time. I think if I let the scene render for 48 hours it wouldn't have made a big difference. Post production processing is an important step in rendering with Indigo i think.
I've seen that there' s a new version: Indigo 1.1.9. Does anybody know if this works with the 1.1.8 exporter Skindigo 1.1.8. Cause I cant find Skindigo 1.1.9, It isn't out yet.
Greeting from Holland
Hi everyone,
I've been trying a few render programs the last few weeks, and I only recently discovered Indigo. I've been working with kerkythea , Podium and Maxwell , struggled with Vray, and know its Indigo's turn. After two days of trail and error, this is what I came up with:
I forgot to assign a few materials but i think it still came out pretty good for a first try. But its hard to find some decent tutorials, even on the Indigo forum. And i'm still figering out wich version of Indigo to use. Currently using 1.1.5 but 1.1.8 maybe better but still beta.
if there's someone with more Indigo experience. Help is welcome.

I've managed to create a alpha mask for selecting the trees from the first two links so problem solved! Thanx for the links and the tips
Those with the alpha mask already made are great, nor problem putting them in, But the ones from the previous two links came without the alpha mask I think. Ik get a Jpeg, RGB and an Black and white alpha pic I think, but the ones with the mask already made came ass a TiFF file with black backround and a coloured pic. Can someone please tell me how to use the trees from the two first links??
