RE: Some of my works
thanks for your comments

@Igor spend time your models and you will find the "details". It is really just a question of work

what is very cool with Sketchup is that it is really simple to use .....not a lot of tools to use(draw then push/pull) .Then let your imagination be your engine !
me, I usually work with a picture, first I try to do what I see, and then I change my model as I feel it .

RE: New Building Style using Organic Tools

RE: New Building Style using Organic Tools
I like this one very much ...your kind of art applied to something "real".
but I see it really bigger ! the human should be at least half the side he is now .
really nice ! I would like to live in it

-
RE: Rusty turtle
yes, it seems that there is a lot of possibilities ! I understand when you say you have fun with doing this

I like your renderings, very differents and nice .
-
RE: Some of my works
@Julius thanks !
how can I delete it ? If I erase it, a surface disappears ...
may be there is a pluggin for that

@Kwistenbiebel no...not yet, I wait for my new computer, I think I will have it next friday, then I will begin works with Zbrush too and colour/rendering with my Sketchup models .
thanks for asking
but you can see some "rendering" on my website (3d) . But I think I will do better mith my new machine

RE: Some of my works

RE: Some of my works
@ah ok ...are components usefull ? I will make inquiries about it .
thanks

a kind of amazon spider . the human part is from Makehuman

RE: Some of my works
thanks !
@Durant Hapke how to make some lines invisible ? well, my model is not very clean .I mean that I usually work with symetry , doing only one half of my model , then I do a "mirror" .This time, the mirror I did was wrong . Normally, there is only one caudal appendice, now there is 2 .But i liked the result, so I repaired each half it piece by piece to have at the end something symetric and "closed" . the "invisibles lines" are the intersections of my 2 halfs , the volumes are crossed but the intersections are not drawn

I hope you understand my explanations

and I do like your machine, it is crazy ans funny, as you are may be I guess

hi Pilou
yes...my moto in a pink sunrise ! looks nice

RE: Some of my works
thanks for your comments
...I
just bought a new computer, I think I will have it next friday .I will be able to work some colours and rendering of my Sketchup models ...I am very impatient to have it

At the beginnig, that was a fly ...but at the end, Iknow it is an insect and I know that it flies , but I am not sure anymore of its name !

@kwistenbiebel yes you are right , I do my subdivisions and smooth with Zbrush or Blender if I need some

-
RE: Some of my works
thank you everybody for your comments

that really encourages me

-
RE: Some of my works
yes but these 2 are the only ones I like ...I tried others like the gun ...and it is really ugly .
but I work on it .
a moto I did today

RE: Some of my works
thanks for the compliments

@HFM yes, the next step is rendering . The problem is that I don't know how to do . with 3D , I "come from" Zbrush and its matcaps which are very powerful for illustrations, I used then on my models with photoshop, you can see the results at my website http://www.jphurel.com/dossier3d/album/index.html
but with "mechanic stuff" it doesn't work, I tried a lot ...

so... I don't know ...may be do the rendering of mechanic parts in Kerkythea , use the matcaps for the rest and put it together in Photoshop ...I am still thinking about it .
but, you know....normals maps...displacement etc it is just ARGHHHH !!(that 's the french sound for "mmh I think I will just explode in a very near future ")
the best I did for rendering with Sketchup models with matcaps and photoshop are these
