How do you create such big scenes in Sketchup ? I have a quadcore and 8 go of ram and I can't create so many polygones ! It becomes very very slow and impossible to manage

Is there a 64 bits version of Sketchup !

@Olishea thanks ! actually I wanted to do differents kind of pictures using blender. This soft is absolutely incredible .And try to express my world in colours .Sketchup portview is really graphic (simple and efficient), but it's black and white .

@michaliszissiou Thanks .The problem with sketchup is that the meshes are not very clean . for example , for this image , I made the bus with Sketchup, and it was really a nightmare to unwrap the uvs .So may be , for the next project, I will try to modelize with Blender .and if I try to subdivide sketchup's meshes in Zbrush , they explode or have very strange behaviour .Even if I subdivide without the "smooth" , I can't work with it .

bonjour, il y a 10 jours , j'ai vu ce magnifique navire de Silver_shadow ,et cela m'a donné l'envie d'en faire un à ma sauce .
j'ai choisi un croiseur (IJN Yubari 1944 ), à partir d'un blueprint .

je voulais poster des rendus blender, mais malheureusement , les fichiers sont trop lourds , et ferment le logiciel ....

j'ai utilisé des vieux modèles pour l'île, et les vaisseaux à l'arrière du bateau .

le croiseur a été fait entièrement avec sketchup .

Hi, I saw 10 dys ago, this amazing masterpiece of Silver_shadow , and ir gave me the idea to do a ship .

I choiced a cruiser (IJN Yubari 1944 ), I used a blue print for it .

I really wanted to do some rendering, but Blender couldn't handle the files , too heavy I suppose . So , I show you sketchup scene images .

I put this ship in a situarion i like . Actually , its mission, is to take back the armor of the rabbit samourai to its temple .

the all island is made with old models , same for the spaceships on the cruiser .

the ship is all made with Sketchup .

@Patrick, je sais , et je suis bien conscient que c'est lourd à charger ... le problème quand je fais des grosses scènes , c'est qu'il y a plein de points de vue différents .... mais promis je ferai un effort
