PS MeshLab don'tpermit to make a macro for other users have just to press a button for remake that the video shows ?
(don't yet shown the Chipp's video, but I suppose that is excellent as always!
I think MeshLab needs a damn Undo button before they even think about a macro!!
Yes....

Same process pretty much. I have tried and tried and tried to do all this in SU but it's impossible. Of course you can do a flat surface but rarely is that required unless for a facade.
The topology isn't amazing using the meshlab technique.....but it depends on the model. You can 3D print the meshlab model no problems though and tiny defects in the topology don't even show up.
chipp: You may want to look at this tutorial....you can "voronoi" any model in meshlab. Start off with the SU model and then drape the voronoi over your model! It's awesome and you can do very complex models.
The problem with shape bender in SU is that you can only ever achieve a 180 degree model....in meshlab you can achieve a full voronoi pattern all round your model.
Some models I made starting off with a simple SU model:

The software transforms simple input geometry into complex geometry through a series of procedural βgenerationsβ.
This is exactly what I've been needing for the past couple of years!
I even mentioned 2 years ago I need a tool that allows you to import simple geometry and then "make it complex". Things don't need to be so difficult.
Otherwise you can't play; you need to know your solution from the start....you can't play with different complex shapes applied to a simple model. This software allows for a new design process where you can experiment and play.
Ordinarily you would have to approach a model with a specific goal in mind then make the model using traditional modelling techniques or learn a whole new app.
Say for example you have a simple ring model; this software would allow you to play with complex geometry based on the "bounding" dimensions of the initial ring volume. Making complex shapes in other software from the start can numb the design process and limit creativity.
This is what I was doing with a meshlab voronoi experiment.....but it's a very time-consuming and demanding process. You import any sketchup model you want and then "make it voronoi".
Great find Pilou!!!!
Nice tutorial and of course I do not mind HornOxx.
Max, unfortunately some PP is required. You can use custom background environments in most render apps now, so maybe that's the way to go. You also need to "tell" the render app which is foreground and which is background (sometimes your photograph overlaps the building i.e. lampposts, cars, people etc....)
I don't think it will ever be as simple as "Match Photo, Project photo textures, Set materials, Render". There will always be a degree of photoshop to these types of images for the reasons mentioned above. Unless some render app introduces built-in custom masking which I doubt will happen.
The only other way of producing these images is taking your own spherical panorama and then insert your building into the context; real light, real materials, real reflections, real scale....but again, some foreground elements may need to be photoshopped in front of your building/subject. You also need a nodal ninja tripod (or equivalent) and DSLR camera which cost $$$$. Or you could borrow mine!
yes free trial and you need a login to access the forum

PS What is the milk shake maker(?)on the center of the photo ?
He works for the sperm bank.
have you tried the thea test render scene kristoff?
The tutorial is in the first post of this thread....I didn't show every photoshop method though.
For masking you should really look at this tutorial. It really does make perfect masks. You can choose to mask more or less and completely eliminate halos. Don't be afraid to close stamp halos out either, there is nothing worse than white halos.
http://layersmagazine.com/masking-hair-in-photoshop-cs3.html
If you can mask hair you can mask anything.
Don't forget you can always select your mask in photoshop, then Select>Modify>Expand (or Contract)....you can nudge the mask by a pixel or two to crop the edge of the mask.
Does deleting your comment(s) work?
Nice!
So....educate me. How come you can vape at such high wattage without it tasting burnt? Seems when you go sub ohm the wattage is ramped right the way up....why is that?

Me too. The issue is that people post into it almost every day.
It's just become a advert thread for vaping merchandise, and tobacco juice.
Well that's what it was from the start Dan? Nobody here profits from the thread. We support each other by sharing experiences and technology in the hope others will make the switch and quit smoking too.
I had no idea it would be so active with nearly 15,000 views....at the end of the day, it has helped several forum regulars/gurus quit smoking for good which can't be a bad thing. The thread is merely a platform to test and review vaping technology and smoking cessation tools that actually work and give results.
If you quit by hypnotherapy then well done, but many people don't have such luck. Your contribution to the thread was valued and welcomed.

some great ones there, "masturdating" is my favourite
nah I think a case/carton is an exaggeration maybe?
Silk Cut cigarettes, for example, have a nicotine strength of 0.3mg so 20 x 0.3mg=6mg nicotine = 1 packet of 20 cigarettes. Obviously if you smoke a higher strength brand you need a higher strength liquid.
2ml a day? Don't worry mate I go through 10ml a day sometimes Hardcore vaper! My Kayfun absolutely drinks it, but you get amazing flavour.
I wouldn't concern yourself too much mate, when you have quit for a couple more weeks try reducing your nicotine to 12mg. I'm on 6mg now and will probably go down to 3mg quite soon.
Stefan, the cons of your mechanical mod are the advantages I take for granted (such as the safety)....I didn't realise the power drops off over time, but it makes sense now. I always love the look of a mechanical mod though.
Gareth.....VW just keeps the wattage consistent over time. Even if the resistance of the atomiser changes (like they do) the wattage will remain constant by self-regulating the voltage. Does that make sense?
But to be honest, I keep my provari in voltage mode. I don't piss around with wattage and all that....I see no difference really. If I need more voltage I just increase it, really simple.
So, I use my Provari P3 just like I used my Provari 2.5; I just change the voltage as and when I need to. Vaping does not need to be complicated.
The P3 is just like the old Provaris, you just get a few more options....and you can change the colour of the LED through the menu!! The display also tells you how much battery % is remaining, the resistance of the coil, The voltage and the wattage....all made easier through the OLED screen which simply just allows more information on-screen. It is great to see the battery % remaining though....other than that, it's still a good old Provari device.
Oh.....and it comes with an extension cap that blends into the body of the device now. So now you don't need to buy a separate extension cap to run 18650 batteries.
