Yes, I am familiar with these techniques and have used them in a different way.

I used The "Dennis Technique" when trying to create a watercolor looking type look. The Technique combines different exported styles (shadows, no shadows, color only, lines only, etc. Then using a photo editing software merging them and exposing underlying layers by erasing the center till the achieved look is gained.

      Dave,

Thanks for taking a look at this. Maybe someone who views this post may have an idea or know how to achieve this look without the use of the "PRINT SCREEN" button.

      Thanks,

This is another example of what could be possible with the same image using a different style.
      style change but still highlights.

      Dave,

Appreciate the chair example, and I have used fog in that way couple of times but was looking to call attention to individual items from a saved or same scene. Was hoping it would not be style specific solution.

    • Save scene - object highlighted with background.

Is there a way to (add) save a scene that looks like the view you get when using Edit Component and you have the remainder of the model in background color?

I like the way it isolates the Component or Group when editing it and I use the toggle "Hide Rest of Model" while editing or working on that object. If a scene could be generated that isolates that Component or group while emphasising the component or group just like when using Edit Component that would be a useful tool.

      Plugins or ideas?

      Thanks,

    • Axis showing - can't seem to find how to turn it off.

I have turned off view axis. I can't seem to find out how to turn off seeing each individual axis for the group or component (as shown in the attachment). Even after I close out of edit the group a single axis shows.

Any help finding the off toggle for this would be greatly appreciated.
