From what I can gather SU is only capable of running on 1 core (despite the fact that many are available). My questions is if it is possible to set up my computer to dedicate 1 core just to SU. Would this gain me anything? Or is this even possible? Like I said, Noob Question.

RE: [Plugin] FollowMe and keep (v0.04 update 20090210)
thank you thomthom,
I tried typing that in at a few different beginning locations to no avail, even compared it to one of you .rb.
Unfortunately operator error (me) is in play. With that said i've uploaded the .rb (is that kosher to do with someone else's .rb? i'm sorry for not knowing protocol here) and if someone was able to determine where that require 'sketchup.rb i would be eternally grateful.
[mod=:3stt16al]I've removed that FAK.rb attachment, as it's already available in the first post here and such duplicates simply lead to confusion...

RE: [Plugin] FollowMe and keep (v0.04 update 20090210)
I have had trouble getting this ruby to load in SU8 pro, which i see a few others have previously screamed/posted. I have used thomthom's installer plugin as well as just placing the .rb in the appropriate plugin folder. I've had success loading .rbz, but not .rb in general. This .rb is just particularly needed at the moment. Both come back with the error below. Input appreciated.
Thanks,

RE: .rb vs .rbz
I guess this is a more specific question for thomthom then as i am unable to specifically load one of his rubyscripts.

.rb vs .rbz
Howdy,
I'm updating to SU8 and was wondering why i can't load any of my .rb ? It allows me to load .rbz only, which i have none of. I've searched a bit and not found anything, but i barely use sketchup so i probably am missing something here. It appears people are updating there ruby scripts to work in SU8 but none really have the .rbz extension. Is this just because i have to update to pro?

Which Rendering Software to Use
Sketchupers,
I am beginning a search for rendering software to use in conjunction with sketchup. I have toyed with vray a little bit, but it appears that trial is up. I'm looking for any advice or pearls of wisdom you are willing to offer. It would probably be helpful to add that I am a landscape arch, so almost all of my models will include plants, building facades, and the great outdoors. I'm also cheap.... errr i mean "budget conscious", so that will play a role as well.

RE: SketchUp for Site Design Book/ Trees
@arklandesign said:
The trees on Page 8 is from Formfonts named "gentle tree".
That is exactly what i was looking for. To be specific it was "generic tree 7". Thank you all for the input though, this has been the fastest a forum like this has ever turned around an answer for me. Actually many helpful answers. Thanks again.

SketchUp for Site Design Book/ Trees
Hullo,
I am an experienced Landscape Architect that is going through this book (but already have a decent SUP background) and i have noticed that the 3d trees shown in the book are fantastic, but can't find anything like them online. They have a great feathery and "transparent but full" look to them and are equally full from all angels (reference page 7, 8 if you have the book). My boss is starting to bust my balls that he wants those trees and wants them now... I might be able to make something like them myself with a little help, but deadlines, deadlines, deadlines... you know the drill.
Does anyone know where these trees can be found, or if not what is the method these were created with. I can read into any tree creation method more. Any help is appreciated.
