SketchUp does not Connect to the Internet
Good Day
I have recently had to reinstall SketchUp 2018 after Windows was corrupted by a power outage.
I ahve installed it onto "F"SketchUp 2018, same drive as it was installed on previously.
When I try to enter the license details the program states "Not Connected to the Internet"
I have checked the firewall settings and SketchUp has full permission for both in and out traffic.
Should the program be installed on "C" drive? or is there another reason for this.
Thanks in advance for for the help.

Materials & Components won't load
Good day
I have recently had to reinstall Sketchup Pro 17 after a motherboard failure.
I can see all my materials and components in their folders on the hard drive but can not access them from within Sketchup.
Sketchup is installed on "G" drive and all the components and materials are visible in their respective folders under the main sketchup folder.
How do I get SketchUp to recognise them.
Thank you for your help. -
RE: SketchUp 2017
Hi Tig
When I model in SketchUp 2017 as it is installed on the computer at the moment, the following happens:
- When I apply a texture to the drawing, all that appears is the colour of the texture.
- When I try to insert a component, it asks where to insert it, on face, on edge, etc but nothing is inserted.
SketchUp is installed on F drive in the Program Files folder. Full path F:/Program Files/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017
The Component folder is installed on both F:/Program Files/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/Components and C:/Users/27845/Appdata/Roaming/SketchUp 2017/Sketchup/Components
Textures are installed F:/Program Files/SketchUp/SketchUp 2017/Materials.Have I installed the programme on the wrong drive?

SketchUp 2017
Good day
I have recently taken over a deceased colleges computer which has SketchUp 2017 on it.
I copied all my materials and components from SketchUp 2013 which I was using as well as all of my plugins. When I open SketchUp none of the materials, components or plugins show up.
What have I done wrong?
Please help, I urgently need them to complete a temple model.
Thanks

RE: Scaling Materials
Hi Dave
Off Topic.
I first joined the SketchUcation forum on 17.04.2008. Since then my service provider changed and I forgot my login and password, hadn't needed to login for a long, long time.
How do I correct my details. I have just found the original email with my login and password. Originally registered as Mike Backler on planpro@iburst.co.za. Been using SketchUp since 2001/2, the earliest reference that I can find is the SketchUpDate newsletter of March 2003. My email records do not go back any further.Regards

RE: Scaling Materials
Hi Dave
I was, that's why I asked for help in scaling. Now that I have been reminded how to do it,
I have gone into all the new textures that I had created (about 10) scaled them and saved them.Regards

RE: Scaling Materials
Hi Dave.
That is what I have done with all my existing textures. The problem was that the last time I made textures was when I was using either SketchUp 5 or 6 when I first started using SketchUp. I have not had the necessity to make new textures until now and could not remember what the procedure was.
I also do not like having to constantly adjust the textures to suit the drawing, beside having to adjust the register on the texture for starting points or the lining up of tiles on a roof surface.
Regards
Mike
