Rag,
The quick way to do it, is to just pull/push beyond the
barrel surface and intersect. It does not give the same
accurate effect as a wrap around, which is possible but
would take a lot of time.
If you really wanted the embossed effect on the logo it
could be cobbled by doing more P/P and joining surfaces.
Quickie attached.

PS: I think the 'Don't Draw What Won't Be Seen' rule
might apply here

So now when I get done with this project that has been eating away 16 hours from every day, I am going to start building my first car project. I'm pretty excited!
Todamgood4U,
You look far to young to be driving cars
let alone building them
Will you attempt the build in SU or have
you another program in mind?
And what car have you in mind

There is a nice selection of components

If you download please take the few seconds

as it happens with many scripts, the usage explanation at the beginning of mirror.rb is not very clear (or so it seemed to me). they way you explained it is very clear, though, and i could make it work exactly as you described it.

Hi Edson,
Glad to see that you figured the procedure out with
the help of the great team we have here.
I totally agree with you when you say that many of the
Ruby Scripts brief explanations are not always clear.
I have mentioned this possible oversight before. The
ones that are accompanied with a short video, no matter
how complex become clear, whereas even simple Rubies
with just a couple of lines of text can sometimes stump
us initially.
I think this is an area of SketchUcation that we non
programmers can help out with i.e. producing procedural
videos !
Just a thought !
Mike
It works fine for me Paul
I had to laugh when I read the Fr Ted dialogue.
That scene was very funny .... I still watch the
repeats
Mike
I'll check out that Rick.
Yes, there are quite a few that use SketchUp for
2D work. I have been doing so for the past couple
of years. SU and Canvas via PDF import. The results
and quite good, mostly used for Design / Planning
Applications and a little construction detail.
Looks interesting ! I think we would really need a demo
to fully trial the functions.
It crosses my mind that this might be useful in 2D SU
drawings (models) also.
Mike
I have to agree that its had to beat native SU output .....
but again a good design also helps, nice work
Mike
Dylan was right! I got the delivery on Tuesday evening and have now loaded Leopard.
I'm now exploring all the new features and particularly like Time Machine.
The new Dock is also well thought out and a
great time saver. I'm having difficulty with
a couple of pre-installed applications. Afloat, a program that I was using quite a lot is not running the way it used to but I'll keeping playing with it, hopefully it will work out.
I haven't noticed any problems with SketchUp as
yet so all would appear to be well enough, fingers cross.
Just hear that Apple have sold over 2,000,000 copies of Leopard in the first two days!!! Now let me see, where is that calculator? Ah yes, $258,000,000 .... I imagine Apple shareholders will be happy
Thanks Tim, I think the idea of booting from a second disk
is the way to go for the time being.

That is such a good deal for 5 users.
Im still hoping to get a mac myself when I can find a couple of thousand pounds spare.
Dylan,
Apple are doing finance! Buy on the drip is one
option! You'll make the interest in productivity
increase over 24 months

Dylan, I ordered a Family Pack (5 users) at โฌ199 against a single
user license for โฌ129. So I'll load it onto the wife's Mac and
see how SU works on that.
I thought the Family Pack great value at โฌ199
Mike
Thanks Guys, so it looks like its not advisable quite yet.
I'm now wondering if I should install when I get it on Tuesday
next. Any suggestions Tim?
Mike
Hi Guys,
I expect to have Leopard http://www.apple.com/macosx/ up and running
over the next few days.
I'm looking forward to all the new features but I'm not sure if
GSU6 works with it. I think I remember reading something about
SketchUp not being compatible with it yet but can't find the info.
Does anyone know about this?
Mike
PS: If there are any 'fence siting' potential 'switchers' out there,
just watch the Leopard features video and !!!!

Thanks Jim, great script.
I think Juju has a very valid point. I think I
probably would be using a lot more Rubies if I
knew exactly what they could be used for. I
fully appreciate the efforts and generosity of
the Scripters though and can understand that
they probably feel that the explanations are
self explanatory.
Maybe we could consider preparing some examples
/ movies that explains there usefulness ?
